Sister's Typhlosion Prime Deck

Hi all,

This is my sister's Typhlosion deck. Any constructive critisism welcome.

Typhlosion.dek

3 Typhlosion Prime GS
1 Typhlosion GS
2 Quilava
4 Cyndaquil
2 Ninetales GS
2 Vulpix GS
1 Nidoqueen RR
1 Nidorina
1 Nidoran
1 Uxie

3 Bebe's Search
2 Communication
4 Roseanne's
3 BTS
3 Rare Candy
2 Expert Belt
4 SSU
1 Copycat
2 Fisherman
1 Palmer's
1 VS Seeker

4 Call Energy
9 Fire Energy
2 Psychic Energy

Strategy: Get up Typhlosion Prime asap and use Ninetales's Roat Reveal to draw into cards quickly and provde fodder for Afterburner. Because of the thick trainer line and the synergy between Roast Reveal and Afterburner, it is easy to have a fully-charged Typhlosion up T2-3. Then just spam Flare Destroy, forcing your opponent to waste energy and discarding critical energy like DCE and Call. Expert Belt ups your damage to 90 allowing you to 2HKO pretty much everything in the format. Nidoqueen to heal and to use as a backup attacker, and it often acts as the primary attacker vs. water decks (Gyarados, basically).

Any suggestions?

~Kipper

I don't think you NEED turtwig GL or the 2 grass nrg, it is for Kingdra/Gyarados right? If so play a different tech. And I would use SSU over Reversal

Soo...
-1 Turtwig GL
-2 Grass NRG

+1 Fire NRG
+1 Pachirisu (Helps you get setup and can hit for alot against Palkia G/Gyardos/Kingdra)
+1 Bebe's Search

^ What's the point of running Pachirisu with no Lightning Energy?

Turtwig GL is for Feraligatr Prime - after playing with this deck against 'gatr Prime I can safely say that it EATS YOU ALIVE. It can 1-shot you with 70/80 damage, and all of your pokemon (apart from Uxie and Turtwig GL) have weakness to it. In fact, this deck has a pretty much auto-loss against any water deck, so I'm thinking of doing this:

-1 Turtwig GL
-2 Grass Energy

+1 Exploud SV
+1 Whismur
+1 Fire Energy

What do you think?

Yeh David id agree with the above i have no clue why you would use Turtwig GL at our leauge....personally i'd change it to
-Turtwig GL
-Grass Energy x2

+Pokemon communication
+Fire Energy
+Pacharisu

The attack that requires colourless lets you set up bench with like quil vulpix etc retreat discard energy prime typhlosion good times?

^ Gordon's 'gatr deck...

The only thing about that is, I want something that also counters 'gatr as I'm expecting 'gatr to be a massive bandwagon deck. But Exploud is just too clunky.

Any other suggestions?

Pachi GE doesn't need Lightning Energy, but you don't really need it in this deck.

I would want a Queen tech in there to heal the damage from Afterburner.

Shiny Vulpix > Vulpix GS in this deck

-2 Vulpix GS
-2 PokeGear
-1 BTS
-1 Grass
-1 Fire

+2 Shiny Vulpix
+1 Lux Ball
+1 Bebe
+1 Candy
+1-0-1 Nidoqueen

^ I like the changes. GS Vulpix was actually a typo - I meant PT. I think the early acceleration from a PT Vulpix can give you a nice boost. IYO, why is the Shiny one superior?

Thanks for feedback guys.

60 HP > 50 HP, but more importantly, if you start with it, grab 2 Fire so you can get Ninetales going next turn and attach. The draw from the PL one is nice, but you are not likely to have Energy to spare T1 (which is the only time Vulpix should be active).

BTW, Gatr is not good with the cards we have right now. I would be a lot more worried about Gyarados if I were you.

^ Juniors, and she hasn't been playing for that long. Yeah, something easy and simple to play. I decided that I'd build her a deck with some of her HGSS cards, and this idea seemed to appeal to her the most.

The Platinum Vulpix is the best, with Reheat.
