Top 8 Regionals Report

So I get up pretty early in the morning, and start to get ready. I had about an hour drive to the torny so we got up pretty early. My dad and I had to pick up Ben and then we could go. We go get get Ben and start the drive. The first thing Ben says to me is "i have mydecklist." I thought, well duhhhh!!!! We were going to meet Jared, Alex, and P.J. at the tournament,

We got to the tournament and started regestering. I had to re-sleeve my deck so everyone was going to regester before me. About halfway through sleeves Ben walks up slowly to me and says, "I forgot my deck," How do you forget your deck! Luckilly we had an extra deck for him to use. We all get Registered and the Tournament Starts

Round 1 against ??? W/ Random Rougue Deck

I start with the worst hand ever, Uxie, 4 psychics, cynthia's feelings, rare candy. wow. I Cynthia's feelings for 4 and only get a flygon rare candy and a couple energy's. he Starts using Beegrill G to KO all of my sacrafices and I finally get out a Flygon. I just Tank with flygon and win. I don't know how i did it.

Round 2 against ??? W/ Gyarados

I had never faced a gyardos before but I knew the Strategy. We traded prizes for a while until i finally decked him with Flaygon X. Not the most fun way to win IMO but it works.

Round 3 against William S. W/ Palkia Lock

I had never beaten william before so I knew it would not be easy. I get a quick Mewtwo X out so he deafen locks me. It takes me way to long to get my 2nd Pyshic and he gets out Dialga G X. I just use Flygon X to KO it. Every time he levels up Dialga I one hit it with Flygon. So mewtwo and Flygon pretty much win me the game.

Decent records but the two 2-1's are in Jr's so they have a chance.

Round 4 against Victoria W/ Gyardos

I'm thinking I can take this game with Flygon X again, but with some smart Flash Bites she Ko's every Flygon I get out. and I never get fully set up.

Round 5 against Pablo K W/ CurseGar

Pablo endedup winning this tournamnt (Congrats Pablo sorry I couldn't stay) so beating him was not going to be easy. We both get good starts and trade prizes for a while. I make a couple misplays that may have cost the game but you cant tell sometimes. At the end it is 1-1 with prizes, and I just can't pull out the last KO.

Round 6 against Jared C W/ ???

Final Round and I need to win. He pulls out just a Drowzee and I get a good set up. I can't seem to retreat Mewtwo. Finally i draw a psychic attach it to a random Flygon retreat Mewtwo, put up a charged flygon and Power swing for the win.

It is all down to the percentages. When Wayne (Judge) walks up to me and asks for my Deck I get really excited. I made 7th place. Now It was time for Top Cut.

T8 against Victoria W/ Gyarados.

Game 1: I almost Donk her with Kingdra, I'm off by 10 HP! She gets a belted Gyarados that i can't seem to 1 Hit. She keeps getting heads on SSU and using Blissey to heal. Finally I KO gyarados but she ends up winning.

Game 2: We both get good set-ups and trade prizes for a while. She keeps getting heads on SSU and I can't get aroung Gyardos, Pokemon Reversals get me some extra KO's but she Tanks me down With Gyarados.

So i lost in top Cut, but Iv'e never done that good a Regionals before.

Overall I had a great time,and I might be able to go to Nats but We'll see.
