Underestimated and overlooked... Venusaur!!!

When I first saw the leafeon from the battle starter decks in Japan I knew I wanted to play it. So I was very disappointed when we didn't get it in Unleashed even though we got the Roserade that went with it.
With battle roads coming up I needed to come up with a deck idea and I was just looking through the researching Tower and I found Venusaur. It does the same thing as Leafeon except that it does 40+40 for each special condition! I quickly built the deck and originally played dugtrio and DCE so they will think twice about retreating. It took to long to have a Venusaur ready to attack and really it just slowed the deck down. I have switched to Sceptile and it has been working very well.
Heres my Current List:

4-2-3/1 Venusaur SV/SW
2-2 Wigglytuff
2 Skuntank G
2-1-2 Sceptile GE
2-2 Claydol
1 Uxie

4 bebe's
3 Roseanne's
4 Rare Candy
1 Palmers
1 Night Maintenance
3 Pokemon Reversal
3 Pokemon Communication
1 Miasma Valley
3 Broken Time Space
2 Judge
1 Luxury Ball

7 Grass

Strategy:
Get Venusaur active with 2 energy.
Use Special Reaction with Wigglytuff and Skuntank for 120 every turn

All help is appreciated and all suggestions considered.
Thanks in Advance

Drop all those energy switches for a 1-1-1 Sceptile SF, so that you can switch around all the energy you want. Then drop an Unown R so you can add a 1-1 Roserade UL.

so you are saying
3-2-3 Sceptile 2 GE 1 SF
3-3 Roserade

And its not Unown R its Unown Return That lets you return all the energy attached to one of your pokemon to your hand
I also think it will be really hard to set up 2 sceptiles on my bench because I would need a SF and a GE one.

Actually, it would be very easy. They use the same basic, can easily be searcehd, and are more options for back-up attackers.

You could try playing with wigglytuff GE and Skuntank G to inflict poison and sleep each turn. That way you dont have to waste energy attachments on roserade.

thats such a good idea!
probably
+ 2-2 Wigglytuff
+ 2 Skuntank G

- 2-2 Roserade
- 4 Energy Switch
-3 Psychic energy

That leaves me with 55 cards. and I won't need the sceptile GE anymore so...
i'm thinking pokemon reversals or Cyrus's Initiative for disruption

What do you guys think?

EDIT
Oh and I also will no longer need the unown
so that leaves me with 53 actually

for skuntank g to work, you need to have a stadium in play, so maybe up your stadiums a bit? Add in Dawn or Miasma Valley, or more BTS?
Only problem now I could see would be bench space.
Perhaps some SSU so you could reuse Ivysaur's power?
Or some more energy.

Good idea. Awesome to see Venusaur SV used in a deck.

I'd say...

-1 Energy Switch
+1 Rosy's

My idea might not be great. Just try it out.

I have already taken the energy switch out because I no longer are using Roserade.

honchvire
Ok so I am using 3 BTS and 1 Miasma Valley to use Skuntanks power.
I also added 3 Pokemon Reversal and 2 Judge for some disruption.

Anyone else have any suggestions?

Thanks Brock
I think I will try the circulation. Its just that against decks like Kingdra and jumpluff where they have multiple of their attacker set up at once it doesn't seem like circulation will help that much.

i'd run 2 bts and 2 miasma valley, both help you and the cahnce that your gonna be playing against another grass or psychic deck is about 50/50 so ether way your safe. maybe drop 1 commuication since you have 3 Roseannes and try Copy Cat, incase you need a new hand.... never know.
