Smile Official Collector's Cache Nationals Thread

Hello PokeGym!

Thanks to the members of Team Compendium for allowing us to post this thread as an official vendor for the 2010 Pokemon Nationals. Thumbs up to you guys!

OK everyone, we have a lot of fun stuff planned for this year including lots of freebies, a charity Pokemon tournament to benefit Gleaners, the hungry in Indianapolis ( www.gleaners.org ), and a lounge area for the players to come and discuss their thoughts about top decks, Worlds, and going forward to the next season. The entry fee for the charity Pokemon tournament will be 2 canned or packaged food items and Collector's Cache is going to proudly donate 200 Pokemon booster packs in to the prize pool. If anyone would like to also donate additional prizes to the prize pool, we will accept items such as booster packs, boxes, or high end single cards. Please make sure to bring your donations to our booth PRIOR to 7pm on Friday June 25th.

Lastly, we will of course be buying, selling, and trading at our booth. If anyone has any suggestions or requests as to what you would like us to bring, please let us know ASAP and we will do our best to accomodate. We want to thank everyone in the Pokemon community for helping to make the Pokemon trading card game a huge success and we look forward to seeing everyone at Nationals!

Do you know what your buying prices will be for bulk commons/uncommons/rares? Non-bulk items like holo-rarity and above or staples? Know when you'll have those prices available? What about the non-TCG Pokemon items you're planning on bringing? When/where will the charity tournament take place, and do you need staff/volunteers/workers/Judges for the event?

Hello Bullados, unfortunately we will not have our buy prices for bulk cards until the show but we will be paying good for them so please make sure to visit our booth. We plan on bringing sleeves, deck boxes, and other supplies in addition to single cards & sealed product. We are trying to confirm the exact location of the charity tournament with Pokemon and we are hoping to be able to use part of the main convention hall on Friday night after play for the main event finishes. We will probably need a few extra volunteers to help run and judge the event in addition to the couple judges/professors that have already volunteered to help. Will you be able to volunteer on Friday night?

I was wondering more about stuff that's not related to TCGs at all, but rather general Pokemon toys, collectibles, etc. I'm looking for raffle prizes for my tournaments, and my kids generally like getting stuff they wouldn't otherwise be able to get in this area. And, hopefully, I'll be able to fill my order without breaking the bank in the process ^_^.

Just putting the question out there right now. I don't know what my schedule will look like at Nationals yet, so I can't volunteer at this moment. I'll probably get a better idea by this time next week.

Hello, we are trying to see if we can get some Pokemon plush in time for Nationals. We could also bring some boosters and starters for the Pokemon Trading Figure Game. But we will definitely have some cool deck boxes, binders, portfolios, & damage counters for sale that you could use for future prizes. For helping out with the charity event, no problem at all and please let us know if you will be able to judge. Thanks!

I will be in charge of this event from the operations end. You're certainly welcome to help staff.

If anyone would like to volunteer to staff the charity tournament, please PM me.

I don't have an exact time, but it will be on Friday night after Swiss rounds for the main event have ended (per request from TPCI). We estimate starting around 8pm.

We are mainly looking for English Pokemon cards but there might be a few Japanese Pokemon cards that we would buy. Please feel free to bring your cards to the booth. Thanks!

Yes, all construction rules for the Professor Cup apply to the charity event.

We adopted the Professor Cup format because we want it to be fun, but also a fast event, because we want as many people as possible to donate food and participate. A overly long event would preclude those participating in the second day of the main event.

Whoever pays the best price, you or Troll and Toad, will get my business. I just finished counting and alphabetizing over 13,000 commons/uncommons, and I have yet to touch Trainers, Energies, Reverse Holos/1st Editions, Rares, Holos, and Promos. I've got lots of swag to dump off!

Hello, if you are going to be selling your cards in bulk, there is no need to sort them. However, if you want to sell specific holos, LV.X's, rares, etc., please sort them by rarity. We look forward to seeing you at Nationals!
