Tcg Double Battles?
I know there was a double battle element sometime in the, EX series? Or was it late neo? I dunno. I took a break after Neo was released. But hey! I was only like 4 then. Or something. -.- Anyways.
During the last day of my league, some kid suggested to play a double battle. Bailey explained a couple things about it and how it was frustrating. XD But I wanted to know if there is any "Official" way to play this. Speaking of which, wouldn't spreaders be hilarious!?!? Move if needed.

The unfortunate thing is that they've stopped wording cards for double battles (ex. "to both of your opponent's pokemon"). It's pretty fun if you do 2v2 with a group of 4, but I would ban jumpluff if I were you :] Or just errata it to say "for each pokemon in play on your side and across from you." Otherwise you max at what, 280 damage? :P

Interesting that this is coming up now, my league is doing a Double Battle tournament in two weeks. We've banned Jumpluff, but there are a lot of cards that get a lot more fun in Double Battles.
It's a very different experience, but it's tons of fun.

We do double battles at our leagues and just as friends. Our rules stat that it works just like singles except certain pokebodies do not go across the field(IE. Abomasnow). Also in our rules it's complete colaboration instead of no talking. As for Jumpluff it there is no Ban, we just only apply it for the person using and the person they are attacking. Forgot to add we also can play supporters for the other player but it counts as your supporter for the turn.

In MS we have non sanctioned tournaments occasionally for doubles. PM Cameraman and he'll be able to give you more details on the rules and such. Like for Mass Attack you only count your Pokemon and the Pokemon of the opponent you are attacking, making the maximum damage 100.

BJJ763 posted a link to the rules, Mach is correct, and if you want to know a bit more, I was one of the winning partners of the MS Team Play Championships. I wrote a report on it as part of my States Reports which you can see. (Click on my username, the click on "Threads Started by Nekizalb", and scroll down until you see it.)
