Halo: Reach - your thoughts?
So I got this on the 17th. My family aren't extremely rich I mean I had a booster box in August so there was low chance of getting this. I traded a MW2 for it. Ł20 was good enough for my parents. So we did it. WE still had 2 other MW2s, got 'em cheap though.
So anyway, my opinion on this game.
Campaign - Brilliant campaign I must say. I won't spoil anything here obviously. But playing a new campaign of Halo takes me back to Halo 3. It's a hard decision to make between 3's and Reach's pretty much because Halo 3 is the Halo I started playing first. 9/10
Multiplayer - Ok, this is where Reach doesn't do it's for me. So I must admit I love Invasion. One of my favorite game types. I've even made my own working map for it. Loadouts are OK. But the DMR? Pffft. No. Just no. You cannot replace the BR with a weapon like this. I don't like how it can hit from so far away. BR 4 Lief. Another thing that REALLY annoys me is the reticule bloom. What were Bungie thinking/smoking? Maps are meh, Halo 3's Guardian is unbeatable. But at least they remade Halo 2 maps. Don't have the same feel though. 6/10
Custom Games - Yeah, Race is coll and stuff but it doesn't matter if I play Fat Kid - it won't have the good old feel on Halo 3. With all the 8 year old american kids shouting and stuff. Halo 3 was beautiful. 8/10
Forge - At first, I hated the new controls. Now I can't use Halo 3's Forge. Massive improvement here. Amazing. 9/10
Theater - Same thing except clips and rewinding in Campaign. 9/10
Overall, I give Reach 8/10.
Now I gotta ho do some homework. Post your thoughts about it.

I waited in line with some friends for it's release and I gotta say, I really love it.
Campaign - I agree that it's great. lol 9/10
Multiplayer - I love invasion too, it's a really cool concept that I enjoyed since the beta release.
But I enjoy the rest of multiplayer, I just hate all the 12 year old kids cursing at me and **** talking me moments before I smoke them. Oh, and I like DMR's. 9/10
Custom Games - Eh, I don't care much for it. 7/10
Forge - Pure Amazing. 8/10
I can sit for hours crafting maps.
Theater - Eh, whateva 7/10
Overall, I agree with your 8/10
If you're looking at the game as awhole.
For what I personally do (multiplayer with friends) It's a 10/10
I haven't lost one shread of interest in it since day one.
9 wins ; 7 loses in Northern Oregon Tourneys.
Third place in Triumphant Prerelease

Campaign - pretty good. I haven't completely finished it yet, I'm on like the last level. It's pretty fun though.
Mulitplayer - Still great, but Halo 3's MM owned it. But I think the Reach SWAT is better. In H3 SWAT was by far my favorite, same in Reach.
Custom Games - never played it much in the other Halos, it's decent.
Forge - Awesomness. I like how you can have random objects floating in mid-air without using glitches (like in Halo 3).
Theater - Ok.
Weapon Changes - I liked the old Shotgun better, but the new Sniper and the new Magnum are certainly improvements. And I miss the BR a lot.
Maps - Bleh. The Halo 3 maps flowed much better - like the Pit and Guardian. Most of the Reach maps don't flow (though they look freakin awesome).
All in all, 8.5/10. It's pretty fun.

Story: Great. It flowed great and made for a great game.
Multiplayer: I do not know, but something is missing. It gets boring quick...
The Maps: Can we get something not made in forge world?
Forge: :3 I love forge world!
Well I guess you can say it was a reach.
