First of all, welcome to the game! There are plenty of resources available on this forum that will help you out a ton, such as deck staples, (cards that almost every deck NEEDS), where you can get them, which decks you should invest in, etc..
Since you just started, you should really read up on these forums and get up to speed. You'll notice that your list wont stand up to many decks in the current format. One last tip- The split between Pokemon, Trainers, and Energy in this format is usually as follows: 23 Pokemon 24 Trainers/Supporters/Stadiums 13 Energy |

A couple of cheap, solid decks are VileGar, Gyarados SF, Machamp SF, and Donphan HGSS. You can find the lists for these decks all around this forum. Any of the above decks wont cost you more than 100 dollars to build. The reason why decks tend to get so expensive is because of the amount of staples involved; cards that everyone needs drive the prices up.
For any of the above decks (more or less), you are going to need the following cards: 4 Pokemon Collector from HGSS. You need these. This is where a big chunk of the cash goes into building a deck. You can get a set of 4 for 20 dollars if you are lucky. 4 Bebe's Search. Also huge, but much easier to get your hands on. This will run you 8 dollars for a set of 4. 2 Uxie LA. The single best draw card in our format. Luckily, it was released as a league promo, so 2 of them shouldn't set you back more than 6 dollars. 4 Rare Candy. The card that single handedly makes evolution decks competitive. This card is constantly being released, so they are readily available. 6 bucks for a play set. 3 Broken Time Space- Another card that makes evolutions competitive. These will run you 4 dollars each. Some other great cards to consider are starters, like Spiritomb (AR) and Sableye (SF), other Supporters like Professor Oaks New Theory (HGSS), and trainers like Pokemon Communication (HGSS), and Junk Arm (TR). These are all considered staples. |

K co thanks man well I don't really have 100$ to spend cause I use to be addicted to yugioh :P but is there such a thing as like a decent or semi competitive electric or fire or hybrid of those two deck? Cause this is really just for playing win friends

Per gym rules you must also list your strategy. Please do so soon or this thread will be deleted. Thank You, evil psyduck

Would you prefer if I listed an ideal list and then you can try and get those cards, or would you like me to post the simplist list that would be the easiest to obtain cards for?

Another deck to look into that will not cost more than 50 dollars is scizor cherrim. My favorite version of the deck has a list kind of like this:
4-4 scizor (4-4 means 4 basic 4 evolution) 3-3 cherrim (the one from arceus) 3-3 vespiquen (both from stormfront) 2-2 shaymin lvx (regular shaymin is from HGSS undaunted, the shaymin lvx you want is the land form,it looks like this) 1 unown q 3 pokemon collector 3 pokemon communication 3 bebes search 4 plus power 2 expert belt 4 warp point 1 luxury ball 2 pokemon rescue 12 grass energy I know this is not exactly 60 cards, and it's not really the greatest list, but it sacrifices playability with savings ($). The basic strategy is to get out your scizor with a bunch of cherrim and 2 grass energy. If you can, get up a shaymin so you have some more HP, then you just try and survive as long as possible, and doing 70 or so per turn, with some help from plus power and expert belt. If you get behind on prize cards, get out vespuiquen, and you will really dish out the damage!

Also you have to assume that most of these cards are not going to be legal in next seasons format

I would also recommend Gyarados. It is RELATIVELY cheap, and is a great deck all in all. Look around in deck help and you would find a list.

The cheapest deck right now is uxie donk.
But i don't think that's a smart choice for someone starting out. Gyarados is the second cheapest deck. It will cost you about 45-50.
