Sorry I didn't know where to post this

Does anyone know what sets will be rotated out in the 11-12 season? Is it a set pattern, like the oldest 5 get swapped out, or is it random every year>

After the World Championships the people in charge make a call on what sets to exclude from the legal rotations. Sometimes there have been a few, sometimes many, and sometimes not at all. Every year people begin debating amongst themselves what will be cut out and how the metagame will be affected. There's a whole lot of "Oh man, the game will be so broken" followed by "Oh man, the game will be so broken".

There is a set pattern of 4 sets per year, however they have modified that amount on many occasions.

No one can really say, and guessing just makes people all the more wild. Most people believe the format will be HG/SS on. Some hope that it goes to Platinum on. I think Japan was going to go HGSS on -if they are we might follow what they go by. TCPi doesn't disclose anything, so it's a long wait and debate. Oh man, the game will be so broken.

Japan has already switched to HGSS - on. They did this a couple months ago.

See PokePop's post for the current best guess.

RR-on if they follow the pattern, HGSS-on if they follow Japan (they did it for a good reason, so we should probably do it too...)
