That's 82 cards. Some, like Litwick, I don't think we'll get this time around, but it's pretty close to the set amount. The remaining 16 cards could be interesting. They'll probably reprint some Trainers, and give us a few exclusive evolution line completers, like Swanna, Klinklang, Swoobat, and Cinccino.

17th is release date for the theme decks and31st is release date for the set.

I don't think a secret card is guaranteed. It will definitely be interesting, though, if one is released.

Maybe Cobalion is this set's secret rare. I don't recall seeing in the description TWO trios being revealed. Maybe it'll be another FRLG set, with the entire trio being secret rare. Also starting with this set, the next three sets could feature one of each of the trio being the secret rare, ending with a Keldeo (my little pony) themed (or Keldeo secret rare/ full art) set. Just an idea.

The press release says that the trio being revealed is specifically Cobalion, Terrakion and Virizion. I'm guessing that we're not getting Landorus in this set at all.

Thunderus is a waste of paper. However Tornadus has some nice synergy with Zekrom. Use ZPS (and possibly Jirachi) combo to get energies on Tornadus and every time you use his attack you can move a energy onto Zekrom. Throw in catcher and you have a deck thats taking prizes nearly every turn.

Dude, I wouldn't bash these BW legendaries until you take a look at the ones we got in Call of Legends. These guys look GREAT compared to them.

If the set releases August 31, the Prerelease weekends are 20+21 and 27+28. Does that mean there are no Prereleases at Worlds, is there one more Prelease weekend or do Worlds have a kind of exclusive 'Pre-Prerelease'? Could be exciting with cards in the set that weren't printed in Japan yet - you open the booster, have the card in your hand and are one of the first persons who get to know what it does. =)

The legendries in CoL were rare Japanese promotional cards, and were never intended for competive play. If you look at the upcoming legendries we'll be getting in the red collection, the 2 Genies look pretty bad by comparision, but I still expect Tornadus to see some competive play.

So there is a foil in every pack? Big deal they have done that since at least Diamond & Pearl came out, it's called a reverse foil card, and 99% of the time it's a common.

Anyhow, I am interested in playing in at least the pre-release, hopefully this time the cards won't be in the stores before the actual pre-releases...

If catcher isnt in the set then that means magniboar is playable a bit longer, if it is then we will see more zekrom than anything else.

I however like tornadious he will see play.

Also was really hoping for timburrs evolved form to be really good. But I doubt that will be the case.

IIRC they have done it since Legendary Collection but I may be wrong. And the chance is the same for every single card in the set, so the distribution of RHs is the same as the distribution of rarities.

Red Collection is supposed to bring back Pokémon Tools, which may be a good selling point for a set like this; though I suppose if that were the case, it would have been advertised as such.
