Anybody else tested the Vileplume Toolbox mirror?
So, I've been testing the mirror match of Ross's Vilplume deck, and so far, my results have been pretty depressing. Most of our games have been 30+3 timed, and we spend the 30 minutes using Cleffa, then in +3 finally starting to attack. I really don't want to play those type of matches all year... Anybody else have any results from the matchup?

The mirror match is so boring, and takes FOREVER. It's a lot luck based too...

If that becomes a prominent match in tournaments like the LuxChomp mirror, We're going to have really boring games. Not to mention the time... +3 is the only exciting part, because you have to have planned on how to draw that last prize to win. |

Or you could just not play that deck. Then you would have no mirror matches :)

i don't play mirror matches with this type of deck due to it being a slow game like you stated.
i just put different stuff in it like dragons and samurott.

Or you could just Reuniclus damage to your own stuff for a KO, activate your own Twins, and get the ball rolling with a KO if the opprotunity allows itself (like with ESL against Cleffa or whatevr). Wouldnt that work?

Using ESL opens up yourself to getting Zekrom's into 2 prizes for you oppoenet.
Reshiram would be good at knocking out Donphans that they try and tank through the use of outrage. Sniping thier Renui is also a good idea if they can't easily get another out. |

I'd say obviously forget Vileplume allowing you to set up easier (your both playing trainer lock decks so no need to set up trainer lock as neither of you run many trainers to lock).
Then get Reuniclus and SEL out and use the other attack fo SEL ''Torrent Blade'' snipe 100 then return 2 water energy from SEL to your hand (2 rainbow energy) and snipe their Reuniclus. You try to repeat this as much as possible, but it is likely this is what your opponent will be doing as well (at the very least once they catch on, but they should do this from the very beginning from my testing). This is not exactly easy to pull off, but both decks are slow so it is a good idea. This also allows you to get some damage on your field (in order to kill your own cleffas so you don't take the prize lead to give your opponent Twins). You don't damage your opponent unless they have no Reuniclus or any of it's evolved forms in play (this usually means KOing 2 Reuniclus). Also KOing your own pokes via opponents damage if they attack you or via Rainbow energy damage to allow you to use Twins in the same way you don't permit them to use Twins. If you can get a clean KO with Donphan it would be great as that would allow you to get damage on your side of the field, but Donphan would be stuck active so meh :/. If you can afford to retreat Donphan (most of the time you actually should as in this match you won't be needing all 4 DCE using them to retreat is handy, but this also depends on what kind of energy line you play). This is not the best idea though because it will likely leave you in a situation where you are stuck active for a turn or two and your opponent can bring up SEL and do mean ''stuff''. All in all in my testing the idea is to get damage on your side of the field and snipe their Reuniclus with SEL while keeping even prizes or having more prizes left than your opponent to prevent Twins/use Twins. Once you can eliminate your opponents Reuniclus and keep your own the match should be pretty good. Sorry for the short post this time, but it is pretty straight-forward so there isn't much to say. EDIT: Hoping for nobody to play this deck at BRs is a bad idea. This deck has gotten a lot of hype and has pretty good matchups so there should be some of them every here and there. It won't be the most popular deck, but it will certainly be played. THIS POST HAS RECEIVED GURU POINTS!
