First!
I like the Stunfisk's face for some strange reason... It looks funny. Anyways, HP is good for a basic. Retreat is good. Weakness is so-so. Resistance is rather useless, as Zekrom and Magnezone can still OHKO it. Attack 1 could be good with Victini. Attack 2 does too little damage with so many energies. Modified: 3/10 (could be a tech in a deck that uses Victini, but would not be the core of any deck) Limited: 5/10 (at least you could stall with this guy for a while. paralysis is not bad...) |

Today's CotD is Stunfisk from NV, a Pokemon that is about as useless as its name suggests. Statwise 90 HP is nice for a Basic, x2 Weakness to
is meh, -20 Resistance to is eh, and to Retreat is cheap. Trickle is a bit pricey at ![]() for 30x the number of Heads you flip with 2 coins, and Thundershock is very overpriced at ![]() ![]() for a very weak 50 and 50/50 chance of paralysis. So yeah...you'd have to be pretty desperate to use this for coverage in a deck...Modified - 1/10 (Can't think of any reason to run this really, it's just too weak to compete) Limited - 7/10 (Decent choice for easy coverage if you're running )Unlimited - 1/10 (No use here, weak attacks and HP make it worthless really) Last edited by waynegg; 11/20/2011 at 08:55 PM. |

Well, it holds a unique nitch over the other, even more useless Stunkfisk in NV. It has a type differing from its energy requirement. This allows it to use electric energy and hit other electric types for weakness,a s well as some dark and normal types. Lightning actually has energy accelerating unlike fighting, so it's not a bad niche. It doesnt have a lot of appeal in actual tournament scenes, but i've used it in fun decks as coverage and it does a pretty decent job at that. I like it.
Modified - 2/10 (The other one is worse) Limited - 7/10 (lol limitied) unlimited - 0/10 (nooooooo). |
