rocky helmet vs glaciate

if your active pokemon has rocky helmet and the opponents kyurem does glaciate does the kyurem take 20 damage? the card says if you take damage from an opponents attack...but i am unsure if that includes taking damage from the effects of the attack since glaciate technically as an attack does 0 damage.

No, there is no "technically".
It does damage.
All the big number means is that that damage is directed at the Active Defending Pokemon.
It does not make it a special kind of damage.
Damage is damage.
Placing damage counters is an effect.
Damage is not an effect.
