Fake Booster Packs?

Hi I was wondering if someone could help me quickly.

I bought some jungle boosters from a guy I know does sell genuine cards BUT these boosters were a bit weird. The foil usually is directly printed on on all WOTC boosters I have bought but here the foil came away from a layer of plastic which was clear over the foil bits and printed with the cover design. The packs basically disintegrated a bit.

The only other time I have had packs which come apart like that they have been fake, are these packs fake?
The cards themselves do seem real.

I've looked all over for an answer, but I think this is the best place to find one

Umm... that's how those packs were made. They all have a super thin plastic coating on them with the art printed on top.

The plastic layer peeling is indicative of dry rot (the cards inside should still be just fine since the packs are sealed) and that the packs weren't kept in optimum storage over the years. Wouldn't surprise me if they were kept in either an attic or a storage facility for a good bit of time.
