Is it worth it to buy tins and promo boxes as they come out, then save them unopened?

I ask this because I always see old tins from like 4 years ago pop up on Ebay for pretty high prices, and I also know that tins from the ex series go for quite a bit. So, would it be worth it to buy the new tins and just keep them sealed for who knows how long?

They're listed at that, but are they actually selling?

think of it as a way ok the tins from 4 years ago they have gone to higher prices but look at how many they have and how many were sold in the spand of say 2 weeks.most of them are the same ones always relisted since they never sell.the promo cards alone from the older tins majority of them dont even fetch more than 10 dollars
