These top players from regional events across the country have already earned Travel Awards to Indianapolis and first round byes at the U.S. National Championships.

The national competition, being held at the Indiana Convention Center, is expected to draw the largest attendance of Pokémon players, family, friends, and fans of any Play! Pokémon competitive event this year.

That press release mistakenly lumps TCG and VG together when saying that players do not need to qualify to play.
The VGC event is open to all competitors in good standing but the TCG event will still require that players have earned no less than 10 Play! points this season.

Sorry for the confusion! We will be sending out a new Press Release shortly.

Why is the preregistration so short and early? I thought last years went until seven or eight?

If you're in line by 6pm, you'll probably get Preregistered. That line gets LONG.
