I finally won! And you all know about it before I could post. =/
Yes. It is true.
Thursday night, Rick (teh Rocketman), his son and Brent S. (2nd place finisher) come up t our house and stay the night, none of us really sleep except for Rick and we set out from Brandon, MS at 6AM on our long, long journey to North Carolina. I get a nice two hour nap on the way, I spend the rest catching up on some anime which I burned and One Piece. We arrive 6ish PM, unload, hang out a bit, I make some mods to my Blaziken deck (+2 stadium, +1 Scott) and head to Steak and Shake for dinner and an uber-rich Milkshake which I was unable to finsh. We play in the pre-Regional tourney afterwards. I go 3-1, my deck performs well enough (loss was to lone Ray start and all energy, non of which are Multi). We hang our in Rick's room until he thows us out, we get read to go to bed, poor Brent ends up losing the sleeping bag to Kyle at 2AM. (which he had to wake up Rick for, which was kinda funny XD) We get up, get reay head to the conference room and get signed up (some people were almost late *cough*Brent*cough*... >>) 1st Round vs Ron R. (rroby13; Sceptile/Slowbro) Well, its always nice to meet a fellow Naruto fan. We have a nice cha while shuffling, after that is dne my 1337 deck cutting skillz set his prizes up for all but one of his Treeko. The last one, he started with and I promptly owned with Moltres ex. So, it wasn't really a good game since he had horrble luck. =/ 1-0 2nd Round vs. Kevin N. (Camurupt/ex???) I'll be honest. I only saw a Numel. I T2'd it with Lunge Combusken. 2-0 3rd Round vs. Jim F. (Gymbo; Deoxys ex/Gardy) It was a pretty good match, he got some bad luck drawing his only Defense Deoxys the urn he needed it, because he knew my Ray was coming next turn for his active Attack Deoxys. So I nuke his ATK, he sends up DEF, retrievers and puts his ATK on the Bench and hits Ray for 50. I dual firestarter to Blaziken, Switch out Mr. Ray, and Firestream for 10 to each bench. He has his heal dance Gardy out so he attempts to save his DEF and hits for 50. This makes me happy. I retreat, bring up BEX, and Ash his ATK. He switches out DEF for ATK, pwns my Blaziken, and my Rayray comes up and owns his ATK. 3-0 4th Round vs. Colby B. (Metagross/Deoxys) I forget how this one plays out, but he ends up scooping before it ends because I had a set up and had just nailed the last Pokemon he had with energy. 4-0 So, at this point, he only undefeated people are Eric C., Patrick W., and myself. I play down while they play each other and guess who I play... 5th Round vs Brent S. (Jumpluff/Zapdos ex) I get like this crap start, he locks down my Jirachi with Mt. Moon or something. And just pwns my with a Zados swarm since I couldn't recover form my bad start. 4-1 I play down again vs a 3-2. 6th Round vs Nicholas B. (Team Aqua) Well, he was just getting back into the game and in my opinion did pretty darn well. He makes the fatal flaw of leaving his Seviper active for like ever, letting me get set-up. I Bex his Kyogre on the bench with the most energy, next turn I do it to the other Kyogre, and it pretty much continues a that pace until he scoops a bi before the end because I nailed his last energy. 5-1 I can't remember the parings of T16, so I can't post them, but I'm seeded 4th and I believe no one is undefeated. By the way they announce them, I thought I'd be playing Jim again, but no, I'm in for a suprise... T16 vs Steven S. (Squirtle; Ludicargo w/ Moltres and Lanturn) I know going into this match that I'm at a COMPLETE disadvantage, luckily enough though he opted for no Battle Frontier. I totally get pwned the first game, I put up a fight but there isn't much I can do. Second game I get some key Ashes and Dragon Bursts and somehow pull it off. Last game not only does he prize BOTH Magcargo, but a Lotad as well, which was key, because he went to swoop his sleeping Jirachi for Lotad to evolve so he could retreat for his remaining Ludicolo, but its prized so I Ash that Ludicolo and kinda own from there. W007. T8! I'm excited until I see my next opponent... T8 vs Kyle B. (2EachHisOwn; Jumpluff/Zapdos ex) Well, I have type advantage and get decent starts, he makes a few minor game play errors and ends up losing the first game, the second I just kinda dominate with Blaze swarm he secong game. So, Brent is up against Eric and I'm up against... T4 vs Jake B. (Walreign/Magcargo(ex)) This match up makes me happy, because I knew Brent had a better chance against Eric and I had a better match-up vs. Jake. First game is SO close. I have like prizes to his one, I drop Ray, Multi, and start to Firestarted and he forfeits. This relieves me because I only had ONE fire energy in my discard, but I couldn't bring myself to tell him that. ._. Second game he got the crappiest draws and I kinda dominate but no really because prize-wise it was pretty close. And Brent beats Eric, so we're meeting in the finals :D Which is cool because atleast once earlier I had told him to meet me there. T2 vs Brent S. Well, 1st game was like a repeat of the earlier game, except I got worse draws. Second game I start off bad, but some failed burn flips set his Zappy up nicely for a Blaze swarm, so while it was on the bench I was pegging the active Pokemon for 50 and his bench for 10 each. I finally KO it and he suceeds ANOTHER buffer flip and I'm down to one prize, he sends a less damaged Jumpluff active, laving the Hoppip and other Jumpluff on the bench, both which have 10 HP left fo I Firestream, one out of three tails and I win, knew he couldn't be that lucky but just in case I switched out to a damageless Blaze and he gets tails so we move onto the las match. He gets NOTHING. I just plow through it all, Ashing a Pidgeotto right before he Top decks a Celio's and I win the game by consecutively Ashing 2 of his 4 Dunsparce (he SARs'd for them the turn before since he knew he couldn't do anything) XD I felt kinda bad since he needed the Origins travel allowance, but that 500$ difference in 1st and 2nd (and he bigger trophy) made me feel less bad about it. XD So yeah, MS liek swept the East Coast 15+ taking 1st and 2nd (with an honorable mention to Kyle B who made 7th) Props- Jake B., he was a great sport and ton of fun to play against. Brent S. for placing second and representing MS 1337ly like myself. Also for keeping his promise to meet me in the finals. Kyle B for representing MS not as 1337ly, but pretty darn good still. The Florida crew, they're always fun to hang out with. Meeting more people from the 'Gym such as Senei, Feraligatr, Tommy's Back, rroby13, Gymbo, Prime, and probably some other people that I forgot. Awesome staff! Slops- The rain that had started when I left the convention hall packing the laptop complete with back pack, and two stuffed Pikachu bags (one for winning, the other had my stuff in it) other than that it was an AWESOME day.

Well thank'ye. If I hadn't forfeited in that first game, I wouldv'e been obligated to tell you that you had far more than just the one fire in your discard; on the prior rayquaza attack you had taken the energy and placed it to the right of your discard pile proper (force of habit, probably, from playing blaze and separating your discards for so long); you had at least 3, if not more, fire in the discard all told. Still, topdecking that multi was beastly. Good games, and congrats. You still fear the T1 slugma+water energy and pass. Nobody ever expects that.... Cheers, Jake

GJ! No need to say what I said in the other topic already. Take pride that you are one of the few people in the US that has won a City Championship, a State Championship, AND a Regional Championship =)
