MAIN IDEA: The deck is built to combat the current weenie rush environment. In essence it constitutes a turn one disabler. The main idea is to start with Grimer or Eevee and evolve turn one to shut down their Poké-Powers. Both basics have the abilities to support a turn one lockdown. Turn two or one the evolved basic attacks to lock the defender in the active position. Further slow the other side with energy removal to ensure that the own team remains ahead in terms of resources on the battlefield. SPOILER: Umbreon Ex Stage one Darkness Pokémon Hit Points: 110 Poké-Power: Dark Ring This Power can be used once during your turn when you play Umbreon Ex from your hand to evolve one of your Pokémon. Choose one of the opponent's benched Pokémon and switch it with the active Pokemon. Your opponent chooses the active Pokémon to switch. [C] Dark Cry: 20 The defending Pokémon can't retreat or use Poké-Powers during the opponent's next turn. [DCC] Night Fang: 60 Retreat Cost: C Weakness: F Resistence: P Eevee Basic Colorless Pokémon Hit Points: 50 Poké-Power: Energy Evolution You can use this power once during your turn when you attach an energy card from your hand to Eevee. Search your deck for an evolution card that evolves from Eevee and is also the same type as the energy card you just attached, and play it on top of Eevee, evolving Eevee. Shuffle your deck afterwards. You can't use this power if you attach energy to Eevee as an effect of an attack. [C] Tail Slap: 10 Retreat Cost: C Weakness: F Muk Stage one Grass Pokémon Hit Points: 70 Poke-Body: Stench As long as Muk is your active Pokemon, neither players' Pokémon can use any Poké-Powers. [GC] Poison Circle: 20 The defending Pokémon is now poisoned and can't retreat during your opponent's next turn. [GCC] Sludge Toss: 50 Retreat Cost: CC Weakness: P Grimer Basic Grass Pokemon Hit Points: 40 [G] Purify Search your deck for a Pokémon that evolves from Grimer, and play it on top of Grimer (this counts as evolving Grimer). Shuffle your deck afterward. [CC] Sludge Toss: 20 Retreat Cost: C Weakness: P Mary's Request Trainer - Supporter Draw a card. If you don't have any stage two Pokémon in play, draw two more cards. Big Stump Trainer - Stadium Each player can only have three benched Pokémon. If you have four or more Pokémon on your bench when this card is played, choose three of them. Discard the rest of the Pokémon and all cards attached to them. |

Hi bulbasnore,
Thanks for the review. Nice catch on the stadium. It was indeed ment to discard an Umbreon Ex close to death and also to counter Frontier and Shrine. Both tend to hurt Umbreon and thus an essential part of the disabler tactic somehow. |
