question

My worlds packet has conflicting information. On one page it says the top 32 rounds are 90 minutes long, and on another page it says 60 minutes long. I REALLY hope the 90 minutes long is the correct one. 60 minutes is way too short.

The single elimination rounds will be sixty minutes. This is confirmed. Sunday's schedule even indicates this time limit in the packet. It appears that some of the packets have a misprint of some sort in them, I received a digital copy that did not have this error.

After a short break, players will play one round of single elimination. Depending upon attendance, this will either be the top 16 match or the top 32 match. This round of single elimination will be the last round of play on Saturday.

The single-elimination matches will be played as best 2 games out of 3 and will have a 60-minute time limit. This has been changed from the previous year’s time limit, as no single-elimination round exceeded 60 minutes at the 2004 World Championships. All rounds from this point forward will be single elimination; a match loss in these rounds will result in elimination from the World Championships.

I could go on why it should be 90 minutes, but all I'm gonna say is that they are making a HUGE mistake by making it 60 this year. =/

Sure, 60 damage is pretty good early game, especially for 1 energy, but late game it is pretty mediocre at best. 5/10.

I agree completely with Scizor, but I asked the same question and Liesik confirmed 60 minutes.

60 minutes is to short for best 2 out of 3 especially since have played best 2 out of 3 matches that were 60 minutes and people who just one the first match just kept stalling.

With the advent of T2 decks 60min should be enogh. I mean most of these decks end a match in about 15 min tops.

lol i dont care i play slowking so my game wouldnt take very long :D. But really 60 minutes is enough or else people would start decking which is no fun and leads to stalling of another kind (see your opponent has few cards remaining and start trying to paralyze with duncespare lol)
