Altaria EX question

Altaria EX's Poke-body states

Poke-body: Mist

Any damage done to Altaria EX by stage 2 pokemon (Both yours and your opponets) is reduced by 30 (After applying weakness and resistance)

Now would that count if a stage 2 pokemon that can damage things on the bench (i.e. Salemence ex,) and altaria is benched, would the poke-body power still kick in?

This power still meets the conditions for bench attackers, so the Power is activated for any Stage 2 regardless of where Altaria EX is in play.
