Fake Cards

I think this is the right place to post this question so here goes-

myself and a friend were unfortunately scammed with some fake cards from hidden legends. We bought quite a few packs before realising that they were fake.

My question is- bearing in mind the cards read *identical* to the originals (theyre basically scans of cards printed on card) and if i use deck protectors with covered backs (the pokeball is upside down on the back) can they be used in tournament play?

it would actually really help us because we have around 5 stevens advice- a sought after card. We've used them in casual play and they havent proved a problem. I don't condone fake cards at all and if i can use them i certainly wouldnt go back to buy more or anything like that.

You don't expect an official answer to say that it's OK to use fake cards, do you?

You may not play fake cards in a sanctioned POP event.

I'm sure our Production department would love to get more info on where you purchased the cards from, though.
