Slowking(UF)

Anyone think its worth it in D.Slowking decks? You are forced to play Celio instead of R.ball and have to take away some of the R machines which are helpful at times. It still benefits the decks by making it a bit more admin proof, kills random Togetics, and its Item Search is pretty nifty.

Thoughts? Comments?

I think the benefits outweigh the negatives. Like you said.

More worth it in Primeape decks because of different type advantages. IMO, anyway.

Well, in my testing, playing 4-3 Dark Slowking with 2 UF Slowking, they didn't seem to be too helpful. Most Dark Slowking decks can get out the Pokemon Tools without the UF Slowking's help, and it's attack is only use late-game in my opinion. Plus it doesn't get the benefits of Darkness Energy, and it has 10 HP less. It does get around Togetic, though, and you don't have to constantly have certain cards in your hand in order to do lots of damage.

Celios over Rocket Balls? Not necessarily. Put in a Surprise! Time Machine or two, and it's still functional. I haven't really tried it more focused, trying to get it out 2nd turn with Dark Slowking. I think it would combo better with Primeape, because you don't have to worry about choosing which Slowpoke to evolve into and such.

Just my 2 cents.

Doesn't seem like a good idea at the moment. In my testing I rarely had that many tools and I can win with just the use of D.Slowking. 1 of them in there as a tech with the deck built soley around D.slowking seems like the best option.

About that, I played against Dark Slowking 2 times in Worlds with Ludicargo and I won because of Rocket's Admin. Opponent draws 1 card and I have Healing Step. He/She can`t OHKO me because he/she don't have enough tools,so I think that it's great card to Dark Slowking deck.

Just my 2 cents..

I think it works great. Like said, it gives the deck more defense against being admin'd. And even if you don't always need the tools for the knockout, it's excellent for deck thinning so your draw cards get you more. And they won't get that huge Copycat if you just shuffle it away. (Or just litter your tools)

Plus, who doesn't love getting that game winning strength charm or crystal shard? Seriously, it's good in Dark Slowking.

My friend Andy Stone (afirule) has been playing this variation of slowking, and I have to say, it is very fast and efficient. He played it with a 4-1 R's Persian ex line. Owned my ludicargo

Poké-POWER: Item Search
Once during your turn (before your attack), you may search your deck for a Pokémon Tool card, show it to your opponent, and put it into your hand. Shuffle your deck afterward. This power can't be used if Slowking is affected by a Special Condition.

(CP) Aftermath 20+
Does 20 damage plus 10 more damage for each Pokémon Tool card in your discard pile. You can't add more than 60 damage in this way.

What seems to be the best ratio of D-King to -king? I like 4 and 3 with a tech pokemon retriever to pull back late game slowpokes for that long game.

What colors are you splashing? The famous 2-1-2 pidgeot has helped me most.

Pidgeot in Slowking is unnessecary. It makes the deck slow. No more than 2 Slowkings is needed but 1 works fine.
