Results from the Professor Test

I took the Professor Test and I got a score of 32 out of 40. Post here your test results.

I hope I didn't do something wrong when I posted. Anyways I'm still a professor for 1 more year.

Now it says that my expiration date is 4/4/05 and no test score. It has to be an error. Anyone got this?

I passed too, but no change to my expiry date :( I'll wait till tuesday then email OP.

I was unhappy with the choice of right answer on a few of the questions. But mostly they were good.


I did get three wrong and belive that the given answer to one of those is incorrect. A second is moot (discression) and the third I did get wrong on ballance.

I passed the test yesterday, and today I got three e-mails (all the same) telling me my Professor role will expire on 11/15/05.
Under my Professor Points, it says it will expire 4/4/05 and no previous test score.
Hopefully they get this figured out soon.

[EDIT] It looks like they got it sorted out. I'm a Professor until November '06 now

I passed, with 37 correct answers out of the 40. I was only a couple of minutes short of the time limit when I submitted them... I think I spotted some new questions, and yes I liked them. Some of the questions were tougher in the sense that a few more details had to be taken into consideration before answering..

I have always wondering why there are some really bizzare questions on the test. I mean, when in a blue moon will some of those events actually happen? Pretty interesting though.

I retook the test and passed. I could have sworn some answers were wrong, but I guess not. Some were just tricky LOL.

We wanted to get away from just regurgitating existing rulings. Otherwise, it just becomes a test of how good you are at looking things up. These make the test-taker have to think about what is actually going on.

Yeah, but with that many tricky Q's, more time would have helped. I missed quite a few, because I didn't read them properly, because I was scared of missing time. I missed some I just didnt know too though.

24/40 I can retake on the 1st.

IMHO, the Qs seemed fair and straight forward. They give us 45 mins to take a 40 Q test. Most of the answers could be answered fairly quickly IMO. Submitted w/ about 15-20 mins left. Scored a higher % this year too....maybe a year of judging "improved" me

The thing is that some people I know took it twice. As soon as the next day came, I took it again and I got 33/40 and I would of took it for the 3rd time, but I was like that's enough. A lot of professors I know really took the test multiple times.

36/40, though one question I swear I gave the right answer for, so I must have misclicked and hit the wrong one. No really. ;)

Inteterestingly enough, I went in without any true study just to get an idea of the exam. So too me, it was far easier than the old one. However, I keep up on the rulings better in this one and there aren't any DCI questions so that helps a lot. ;)

I don't have to re-take the test for a while now (April I think), but perhaps someone can help me. If for some strange reason I don't pass the test, can I re-take the test right away, or how long do I have to wait until I can take it again?

Mike actually answered this same question for me in the OP Professor forums. I'll quote.

3) One month before you are set to expire, the exam opens up for you. You can take the exam at any point during that month.

3a) If you fail, you have to wait two weeks before you can take it again. Since you have a one month window, this means that you could take the exam twice in that window. If you do not pass the second time, you will serve out your term, and lose your Professor status on your expiration date.

3b) If you pass, your expiration date is extended 1 year.

If you expire from the program, all of your remaining credits will be redeemed for POP packs, to be redeemed at the beginning of the following month, even if you already have a pending order. If you get back into the program before the end of the month, you can get your points back, and cancel the order for POP packs.

Hmmm, that's odd because a friend who took it and failed said his email from POP indicated a month before he could do it again. I'll give him the good news (if taking another test is good news!)

I took my test since my expiration was on Oct 21st.

Scored 35 out of 40. And I liked the new questions, very cool. I also liked that there were more questions as it adds more variety .

it took me like 6 times to get 20 questions right(i had been out for since neo 4, and got back in after TAvTM, but didnt go to laegue till after HL cames out) so, i am one of those prof.s who took it mulitple times lol.
