Used with Magcargo to quickly power up a Steelix Ex-

3 slugma
3 magcargo
3 larvitar
2 pupitar
3 Tyrantar DS
4 Onix
3 Steelix Ex 21 pokemon

2 rare candy
2 Holon Ruins
3 stevens
3 copycat
4 Celio's
2 Holon Lass
3 Energy recycle system
2 Holon research tower
1 switch
1 warp 23 trainers

8 fighting
4 fire
4 metal 16 energy

Not a lot of tricks-
*smooth over + crush draw= 2 energy a turn, which lets Steelix discard two fighting to do 100 damage
to any of the opponents pokemon.
* T-tar is your back up attacker for all those flame weak decks
* Its funny how robust the deck is- I seem to get slugma starts all the time but the deck doesn't miss a beat.

Props go to the Georgia crew- who built the first one of these I saw and won a CC with it. The above variation has been tweaked from my memory of that deck, maybe for the better, maybe not.

my friend put it in her ludicargo (replacing her ninetails or rhydon or w/e she had in it) I don't know how well it works, but it makes sense and it would help against scizor

I have been running straight Tyranitar DS/Magcargo Smooth Over for the past month. I do not think Tyranitar DS should be used as a primary attacker, but it succeeds as a strong secondary. A main hitter like Steelix ex would be good. Would Houndoom (UF) ben a good fit?

Too many Pokemon need to be out at once in that deck... 'Doom's body won't be able to kick in, and he's not any better of an attacker than T-Tar.

@ pokemon211: I think Tyranitar DS/Magcargo may be slow starting out, but it speeds up quickly when you have the powers to Smooth Over and Crush Draw for Basic Energy. My concern is Tyranitar Delta Species not dealing enough damage as a hitter.

@ gITaRplYrrMC0: How did your version of Tyranicargo work well to win a City Championship?

Let's just say its a very great version of the deck.

Anyway, TTar D IMO is really good, You could try it with Salamence.

I think it works really well with basic energy, but that's probably just me.

EDIT: Ooohh, and larvitar + pupitar, too.

I thought of the steelix ex combo one night before a CC and I made it the next day, it's really consistant, and I only use a 2-2 line of steelix with 3-2-1 line of magcargo with 2 DX and 1 UF and a 3-2-3 line of t-tar. holon lass has no place in this deck. PM me if you want the list, I'm not posting it for everyone to take.
