Ok, not meaning to sound argumenative or anything, but i can't take the unfairness its causing in an RP i'm in. Note, this applies to resistance too.

DOUBLE WEAKNESS/RESISTANCE IS NOT, I REPEAT, NOT A REAL RULE!!!

Don't believe me? try this...

In a 2v2 battle, start the battle using a keckleon with both ice beam and flamethrower, against two tropiuses. With no ability alters or any damaging attacks from the tropiuses, and compare the damage. Please note it does not count if the pokemon is OHKO'ed, so they have to be at a reasonable enough level so that doesn't happen. Critical hits also don't count.

A test for double resistance u say? Pit a single registeel with the moves ancientpower and ariel ace, against two aggrons, and again compare the damage.
