they can charge him for murder. knowing how corrupt the government is, he could probably get out of the situation and not feel remorse because he's a robot. even if he did get impeached, an EMS team would still have to stay with him (cause hey, SOMEBODY'S gotta replace his batteries).

No fan of the administration, but even if the guy dies it was an accident.
True, an accident due to Cheaney's negligence, but an accident none-the-less.
The incident is so much a metaphor for the way this administration conducts business (shoot first, ask questions later; keep everything secret no matter what; admit no error unless and until forced to, if even then), but I don't see Cheaney as being guilty of anything more than minor things like not getting his stamp, being a sloppy shooter and, oh yeah, being a fake tough guy because he's shooting domesticated quail that present no real challenge.

As someone pointed out, Teddy Roosevelt got the "Teddy Bear" named after him for refusing to shoot a bear cub dragged up before him as a "hunting target". Cheaney would have shot it without a second thought.
There will be no "Cheaney Quail".

The sheriff has announced today that no charges wil be brought ag'st Cheney. It must be nice to have friends in high (or LOW) places! Anyway, if the guy died, and it was as a result of this shooting, then he coulda been charged with Criminally Negligent homicide. Notice, the intent (or mens rea) is negligent, not knowing or even intentional.

Yeah a single beer at lunch is really gonna do ANYTHING to a guy as big as Cheney. People trying to imply that he was "drunk" or something are stupid.

It was a mistake that happens to people all the time. Yeah its fun to make jokes about it, but at the same time don't sit there and imply he's "getting away" with anything.
