Smile Ho-Oh Ex/Ampharos deck

Finally I decided to post here

Here is my deck, I hope you can help me a little (or much), I don`t really know if it is original but I like the idea =)

Pokemon: 18

4 Paras
3 Parasect
3 Mareep (Minor Errand)
2 Flaaffy
2 Ampharos
2 Smeargle
2 Ho-Oh ex

Trainers: 24

2 Rare Candy
2 Exp. All
2 Warp Point
2 Power Tree
1 Pokemon Retreiver
1 VS Seeker
1 Energy Recycle System
1 Steven´s Advice
1 Bill Maintenance
1 Professor Oak´s Research
1 Copycat
2 Rocket´s Admin.
1 Lady Outing
3 Celio´s Network
2 TV Reporter
1 Lannette´s Net Search

Energy: 18

6 Grass
4 Lightning
2 Fighting
2 Fire
2 Psy

the strategy is basically, try to get (in best of cases) Paras in the hand, call for family, evolve them and Energy Powder to the rest, then hit with Ho Oh ex

I have problems with the energies, so if you get a better distribution of them I will thank you =)

Bye!!!!

Trode ex is great with this combo. Try squeezing that in.

Mike would know. He played this for awhile.

Drop the smeargle (if I recall, it can't use its power for ex'es), add two voltorb (charge). Drop the exp. all, add two electrode -ex.

Your trainer line looks like it could use a revamp, but it also looks like you may just be running the cards you have because it's tough to get some of the more popular draw trainers. If you run the electrode -ex, run at least 2 pow! hand extension....it also works great if you leave a parasect up to gather energy until it's ko'ed...then you can drop your combo and knock out whatever. You also need more than 2 countergyms. Power tree is not a bad choice, but there are better if you use trode. 4 Professor Elm's training method/celio are a must in just about every deck these days.

It is hard not to recommend some kind of draw pokemon for this deck (pidgeot, porygon2, etc.), but space is tight. If you do try one, avoid magcargo - parasect will mess with your ability to use it early.

On the SUPER bright side, you actually are missing two cards - your energy says 18, but you've only listed 16. Perhaps you meant to include 2 fighting energy? Anyway, more space is always good.

Consider Energy search. It's one of the most simple trainers out there, I know, but it's not a supporter, and will act like a grass early game, a lightning midgame, etc. It will be critical to get a grass early on, and this could help, acting like a 7th grass by getting one from your deck. Mr. Stone's Project or Lady Outing would serve the same purpose.

Good luck, and consider PM'ing Supertyranitar for his list. If he's willing to share, you might find it helpful.

Cheers,

Jake/Dendro

I have a Ho-oh EX deck and a good thing to put in there are Battle Frontiers. So...

-1 VS Seeker
-1 Pokemon Retreiver
-2 Warp Point

+2 Battle Frontier

Run Energy like this.

5 Lightning Energy
5 Grass Energy
4 Fire Energy
3 Psychic Energy
3 Fighting Energy

Good Luck with it.

I have many kinds of trainers, but that line was the one that I think is the correct, but, as I said, I accept suggestions =)
