Forget taxation without representation, it's stuff like this that forced us to revolt from the UK!

And they remove the dwarves from the title, but they keep the name "Snow White"? Shouldn't they change that to "Rainbow Rainbow"?

HAHA!!! Agreed. Funny that I didn't pick that one up... I still don't understand how people can justify this kind of crap. It's weird how a society will try and take anything "black" out because of offense, but when there is something "white", then all is well (even if it isn't referencing skin color, race, etc.). Rediculous, I say.

And ironic situation seeing that "London Bridge is Falling Down" isn't banned or censored from England, IIRC...

I think what people fail to realize is that by actively singling out black people as needing the attention to not be singled out, and then changing a nursery rhyme, they're actually being more racist than they'd be if they left well enough alone. Think about it, if a bunch of white people change a nursery rhyme to avoid "offending" black people, then they assume that black people would even be offended in the first place, and therefore feel some need to protect them from this supposed racism, by using a different type of racism to do it.

If they truly wanted to avoid any sort of racial inequality, they'd just treat everybody equally and ignore race altogether. Totally ignore it, too. As in, not even acknowledge if you're black, white, red, yellow, or any other shorthand racial colour I'm forgetting. "So you're black, who cares?" "So you're white, who cares?"

Funnily enough, I keep getting told that that particular ideal is racist in and of itself, which is ludicrous when you realize that only if you totally ignore race altogether are you not singling out any one race over the other and therefore aren't being racist.

Celebrating diversity is fine, as long as you want racism to still exist. Like I said, the only way for discrimination and racism to be totally dead is to be entirely colourblind.

A friend told me about this today and showed me the article, I would just like to say that its this sort of new labour nanny state atitude that gets me angry, I say this as I officaly joinned the young conservatives yesterday, lol! The nanny state has gone way too far though.

i would like to point out, this wasnt unexpected.

after all, this is coming from a country where criminals can break into your house, and you have no right to defend yourself, because as their court system said back in 01 (or 03) i beleive "criminals are people too".

so honestly, is anyone surprised by this? it doesnt shock me the slightest... why does it shock anyone else that the courts would make this move???
