Most abused Smash Bros. Characters?

Just thought I'd ask this question. It seems at Gamers Club (at my school) that Marth, Roy and adult Link are the most abused, broken and shattered people in the entire game. And Fox I guess...anyone else?

ummmm . . . shiek, fox, falco. thats what it is. there is no other more used characters in the game. but the most underrated character is ICE CLIMBERS!!!! omg, combos ftw?!?!?!?!

Hey. Just take this discussion to my thread. It's a universal Melee thread, so just come in and pop the question there. Otherwise, I'd say Fox and Falco are the most abused. How can Roy be abused? Lol he has nothing to abuse in the first place.

The only character I play with is Ness... he isn't even good but I suck with everyone else so.

Maybe cuz he's a sword user? I dunno, but I do know someone who only uses Roy and no one else. That aggravates me...a fighter with over 20 characters, and only use 1? WTF Also know someone who only uses Fox.

Eh, now it's getting into my type of discussion. Let's drag this into my thread. Last post, though, Roy can't be abused simply because his sword. That doesn't make sense. Not attacking you or your friend but Roy isn't able to be abused.

Im not saying its bad to specialize in one character, but its like your not giving any other character a chance just picking one. Plus, it gets really boring fighting that same person fight after fight.

Clearly you've never fought someone with a variable enough fighting style that it takes ages and ages to get old... or you've fought said person for ages and ages.

A friend and I each specialize in using one character (Pikachu for me, and he usually goes w/ Roy), and our rivalry has almost become a game of one-ups-manship. I will develop a new strategy, and then he will counter the next time we play with a new strategy. I used to keep a notebook on our matches, but I quit that with him because each time we were changing our styles to counter what the other person was doing. It never gets old, and but if it does, we throw 2 level 9s in and either team up, or free-for-all and try to survive to fight each other a little more.

Its not really abusing a character if a person has spent time learning how to perfectly use every move a character has. I have used Pikachu since day 1, with the occasional game as a random other character (I am trying to perfect Mewtwo though.)

But even if that person is really great/versatile with that character, it would still get tiresome to fight that same character over and over. Very boring... Id say that would go for anyone I face for even a short time. Play 5 matches, they use that same person every time, I get tired of fighting him/her.

It only gets tiring if you or your opponent has it mentally hammered that they can only fight one, certain, "correct" way.
