The Ghostly Trio

Here's the deck my 7-year old is working on for Regionals. Any ideas for improvement?

Pokemon:17
3x Gengar
2x Haunter
3x Gastly
2x Dusclops ex
2x Duskull (Collect)
2x Banette ex
2x Shuppet (Ascension)
1x Wobbuffet (Safeguard)

Trainers:29
4x ER2
3x Rare Candy
2x Scott
2x Battle Frontier
1x Phoebe's Stadium
1x Giant Stump
1x Space Center
3x Castaway
4x Curse Powder
4x PETM
2x Pokemon Fan Club
1x Holon Mentor
1x Copycat

Energy:14
4x React
4x Boost
6x Psychic

Strategy is to spread damage, eliminate Weakness and bypass opponent's Resistance.

Gengar's first attack places 2 dmg counters for 1P or 4 dmg counters for 1P + 1 React. It possesses the ability to get around any active poke who has Psychic resistance with the added bonus of being able to snipe the bench. His second attack hits for a straight 60 damage for 2P + 1C which can be used as a final KO blow when needed or to devastate other Psychic weak pokes. His Poke-POWER allows you to strategically sacrifice a KO then apply 3 dmg counters to any one of your opponent's pokes. With a Curse Powder attached you also repay the attacking poke with 3 dmg counters. The Gengar line is Fighting resistant and Darkness weak although the Darkness weakness can be avoided completely with Dusclops ex on the bench. One retreat cost is very reasonable if necessary to pay.

Dusclops ex for 1P puts 2 dmg counters on the defending poke for each nrg attached to him. This allows him to take advantage of Boost nrg. In the course of one turn, a benched Duskull with 1P can evolve, attach a Boost and strike for 8 dmg counters through no resistance. With one of these on your bench, his Poke-BODY allows you to ignore Darkness weakness for all of your pokes in play. Like Gengar above, the Dusclops line is also Fighting resistant and Darkness weak, however Dusclops ex has the added bonus of Colorless resistance as well. (This is our dragon slayer.)

Banette ex is used here for low nrg 90 dmg (+10 with Shady Move) mid-game after you've fed 6 supporters to the discard. This line is also consistant with the deck's theme of resistance and weakness.

Wobby is a searchable one-turn Safeguard. His Psychic weakness makes his use situational. However, he can be a gamesaver when you can't get Dusclops ex out against Dark pokes like Shiftry.

ER2 helps keep a high-retreat poke active while spreading dmg to the bench.
Rare Candy helps speed up the deck.
Scott pulls any 3 Supporters or Stadiums from your deck. Usually one of these will be a Stadium to put in play same turn.
Battle Frontier shuts off powers and bodies for several popular types, including this deck's Darkness weakness.
Phoebe's Stadium gives us a searchable free retreat.
Giant Stump allows us a possible double free retreat in addition to reducing the opponent's bench.
Space Center gives at least a one turn repreive from Lati-Lock.
Castaway grabs Curse Powder, a Supporter and functions as an nrg search.
Curse Powder piles on additional couner dmg.
PETM pulls out our main attackers plus feeds the discard for Banny.
Pokemon Fan Club fills our bench quickly.
Holon Mentor gets an extra basic for the cost of one discard.
Copycat lets us refresh if needed.

React is primarily reserved for Gengar's use although we can afford to use one as a colorless if no basic nrg is available.
Boost allows us to add a quick 60 to Dusclops.
Psychic fuels every other requirement.

Thanks for reading. Fixes and suggestions welcome and appreciated.

yea.. -1 Space Center, +1 Dusclops CG (Anti-safeguard) AND it safeguards itself. also, its body is pretty sweet, -2 Fan Club, +2 Mentor (discard helps Bannette) Unless you are willing to drop a line, if that were the case i would say Bannette isnt needed at all. Lati-lock doesnt hurt this deck because it doesnt effect EX bodies.
