Volunteers needed for San Diego Comic Con, 7/25 - 29

I am looking for people to help demo the new Pokémon TFG at San Diego Comic Con in San Diego, CA July 25th through 29th.

I am asking that all volunteers work at least two hours consecutively (unless there is only a shorter block of time available).

Demo staff is needed for the following dates and times (shift size may vary each day and is subject to changes):

Wednesday, July 25

5:30 – 7:30 pm* (4 shifts available)
7:30 – 9:00 pm (4 shifts available)

*advertised opening time is 6 pm

Thursday July 26

12:00PM-2:00PM (7 shifts available)
2:00PM-4:00PM (9 shifts available)
4:00PM-7:00PM (3 shifts available)


Friday July 27

9:45AM-12:00PM ** (8 shifts available)
12:00PM-2:00PM (9 shifts available)
2:00PM-4:00PM (6 shifts available)
4:00PM-7:00PM (4 shifts available)

Saturday July 28

9:45AM-12:00PM ** (6 shifts available)
12:00PM-2:00PM (7 shifts available)
2:00PM-4:00PM (8 shifts available)
4:00PM-7:00PM (2 shifts available)

Sunday July 29 (Kids' Day)

9:45AM-12:00PM ** (8 shifts available)

**Advertised opening time is 10 am; people with an exhibitor badge are allowed into the hall 15 minutes before opening

Your assistance will be compensated in Diamond and Pearl booster packs, at a rate of six boosters per hour worked.

You will be responsible for any other fees involved with attending the convention (i.e. badge, parking, travel, etc.) and will not be reimbursed for these expenses. You will not receive Professor Credits for working demo shifts.
There are a VERY small number of exhibitor badges available for those who will be working multiple shifts over multiple days; please let me know if this applies to you and you need a badge. Please be aware you may not be able to get one though.

If you are interested in assisting , please reply in this thread with the dates and times that you are available. When giving me times and dates you are available, _please_ be sure to account for traffic/parking/time in line for badge issues.

For example, please don't say you can work from 9:45am - 12 on Thursday if you'll just be leaving LA at 8 am and then parking/buying a badge when you get to SD. It's pretty safe to say you won't be able to make that work...and we'll be left shortstaffed.

I will take requests on a First come, First served basis (meaning in order of your replies on this thread only). Please make sure you state which dates and times you are available to volunteer. I will confirm via PM. I may not be able to honor all requests based on availability and/or changes in shifts.

Please remember this is to demo the Pokemon Trading Figure Game.

Comic Con is a blast folks. PTE Games is running league and a full compliment of PKMN TCG tourneys every day. Come on down PKMN fans and be sure to demo for the TFG.

Wow... Well, I've gotta run it by the people I'm going with, but I'm sure I'll be able to help out some time. For any who haven't noticed, CCI's finally posted a full schedule of programming (though it doesn't include gaming, floor events, or anything going on at the surrounding hotels or anything), so check it out and compare it to what's needed here.

I've got some ideas when I'll be free, but I wanna run it by the group before committing. Be in touch.

Well, for sure I and one friend will volunteer for the 9:45-Noon shift on Thursday.
I'd be happy to help other days, but I still don't have things pinned down, so I won't commit until I know for sure.
Since this is one of those 'before it's open' sort of things, I'll definitely need you tell me what to do. ^^;;
