Fun battles in Lusby await you! Are you ready? The Lusby CC is just around the corner!

The staff at Aardvark Gym, one of the largest leagues in the world, will be organizing a City Championship. Here are a few things to know:

• Location:

• Time: Sunday, November 25, 2007
  Registration at 11:00 am
  Round one at 12:00pm
  Late players will be given losses for the rounds they missed- no exceptions. Through our TO experience, Aardvark Gym staff has become increasingly efficient in setting up and organizing tournaments. Expect us to start on time. Show up, even if you will be late- remember, Premier events are free; you have nothing to lose! Late entry does not affect your Premier Rating.

• Format: Modified-Constructed
  There will be deck checks. Make sure your deck is Modified-legal the first time.
  Click here to see what sets you may use for your deck.
  
  If you don't have enough Modified-Legal cards, remember, Aardvark's is a card store: buy some! If you are having trouble, please talk with tournament staff. They will be make sure you're good to go.
  
  
• Tournament Style: Age Modified Swiss
  
  
• Admission: Free!
  
  
• Prizes:
  -Standard prizes of course. aardvarkvcg, titan-girl, and I have a tendency to take things to the next level- we will most likely augment the prizes.
  -This is a Premiere Event so you will be playing for a Premiere Rating.
  
  
• Make sure you come with:
  -Anti-Blissey deck
  -Something to write with (to record your wins/losses)
  -Damage counters and coins (or dice) for coin-flipping.
  -A smile on your face
  
  
• Additional Info: Don’t forget to be there on time and don’t forget your POP ID#. If you haven’t become a POP member yet, come early so we can sign you up and give you a POP ID#. Membership is free. If you have any questions about this tournament, post in this thread or PM me.

Any time it's on a Sunday, we have to rush to get there and hardly have any time to get cards we need for decks. I HATE tournys on Sunday.

Nick, could you posibly have it a little later in the day? Around 1:30 maby?

It would make it a LOT easier for us, and I'm sure others, to get there on time.

Ugh, I still have absolutely no idea what the play is for this event. I'm gonna go 3-2 miss the cut for sure.

EDIT: Might not be there. Dan's quit the game, which means that I need to get off the couch and get my license. Until then whether or not I go to tournaments will depend on what kind of mood my mom is in. =/

I accidentally told some people Sunday to show up at 12:00pm. Please don't! The event begins at 11:00am. My mistake. We usually start at noon but Tara decided to start a little earlier this time around.

I will be around with my camera as usual. Please have a good time and pretend that I'm not there.

If we change it to another time and day, some other people will be unhappy that it's inconvenient for them.

I game up on trying to figure out what dp3 deck to use, so I just decided to go with one that I had already used. The stuppid metagame isn't posible to figure out right now. After lusby hopfully I'll be able to build a good deck with dp3. lol

Props
-Chris V making it to SE for the first time (then directly losing to Michael P, just as I did my first time). And using an SD!
-Blissey mirror matches (these people have this mirror match thing down to a science!)

-No undefeated players in Masters at the end of swiss

-Juniors still making decks full of basics- so many, they use up all the “Pokémon” fields on the decklist sheets.

Haha, this is exactly what happened. I choked horribly in Round 5 and took 5th place (perfect cut, though, so no sour grapes).
