Wooly Mammoth

Well, not sure if this would be competitive or not with all the fire running around, but it would be fun!!

I give to you Pokemon Family:

WOOLY MAMMOTH

Pokemon 14

4-4 Furret
2-4 Bastiodon

Trainers 31

4 Armor Fossil
4 Fossil Excavator
2 Celio
2 Castaway
4 Professor Oak’s Visit/ Team Galcatic Mars
2 Steven’s Advice
1 Professor Rowan
4 Rare Candy
2 Warp Point/ Switch
3 Windstorm
2 Buffer Piece/ Strength Charn <-- in some matches, just that one item helps!
1 Night Maintenance

Energy 15

4 Dee-Dee-Dee Metal
9 Basic Metal
2 Scramble

General strategy is to get out Furret early and help setup your Bench! With its no energy attack, you can search out any 2 cards and put them in your hand! This is just excellent for no energy. Help you setup getting Fossils and you can grab the Excavator to get that Bastiodon! Do this whilst all the while attaching Metal Energy to Furret...... be mindful of your surrounding folks, if your against a fighting deck, may not be the best idea........ then you can Baton Pass the energy to a Benched Bastiodon just begging fro it to get hit! Why you ask... well I will tell you! Bastiodon does an extra 40 to the Bench if was damaged during your opponent's last turn! So you get to do 60.. then 40.. and there you have Synergy!!

Good Luck and happy deck Building!

Bastiodon isn't really a mammoth, Mamoswine fits that better (though it's not out yet).

he called it wooly mammoth. do you have NOTHING constructive to say other than "Bastiodon isn't really a mammoth?" WHO CARES, IT'S A DECK NAME.

as for the deck, i don't really even see much fire running around except maybe magmortar sw, so that's probably all it would have to worry about weakness wise. your other problem might be wager recovery. after you search out the 2 cards you have no way to recover when your opponent wager+ko on your furret early game, which isn't a hard thing to do.

Overall solid list. Agreeing with what Rambo said, the only real [R] threat is Magmortar SW, so Weakness isn't too bad. On the Furret though, getting T2 Aura Sphere/TGW'ed isn't going to be too fun, so make sure that you're not relying on Furret to get what you need. Also, I'd cut down to 2 Excavators, as they can be Castaway'd for. You could put in a couple Strength Charms, which allow Bastidon to 2HKO Gallade, Empoleon, Blissey, and other 130 HP Pokemon. Even better, they give you Tools to Castaway for. GL Danny!

I found this in the Trading Post. I'd like to think he was talking about Pokemon cards, but there might be some other sort of trade going on here...

As furret needs no energy, have you considered more scramble as the ideal "grab cards and baton pass" may well stop after the "grab cards bit". With scrambles you'll get lots of energy.

Not bad ideas.. and for getting TGM, doesn't happen as much in Masters here in North Texas.. right now the most I would worry about is Mars!

Strength Chamr is not a bad idea, however the more I thought about it, Buffer Piece would be a better choice. Bastiodon is more about surviving the hit to spread the 40 to the bench then doing the Big hit IMHO and with Special Metal and Buffer Piece, well you get a Tank there!

Excavator's are needed for grabbing from the Discard as well. It assists in the Night maintenance count only being one! Again this is a conceptual list, and I may just go back to Dunsparce since it is a basic and can cornfuse!

Keep the suggestions coming in !

I'll comment as I please, thank you very much.

As for the decj itself, I'd probably recommend TG Mars > Prof Oak's Visit, TG Wager > Prof Rowan, and drop a Windstorm for 1-1 of the tools.
