AQ Mr. Mime:
Quote:
Poké-Body: Energy Barrier If Mr. Mime would be damaged by an attack, reduce that damage by 10 for each basic Energy card attached to Mr. Mime. The maximum amount of damage that can be reduced by Energy Barrier is 20.
So a Dark Type Pokémon attacks for Base 20 but has a :darkness energy card attached. Net result would be 10 damage to Mr. Mime - Base 20 + 10 = 30. Check for Weakness/Resistance, still 30. Figure out effects of Trainer, Energy, relevent effects from Defender's last attack, and Poké-Power/Bodies. Ah 30 - 20 = 10.

Jungle Mr. Mime:
Quote:
Pokémon Power: Invisible Wall Whenever an attack (including your own) does 30 or more damage to Mr. Mime (after applying Weakness and Resistance), prevent that damage. (Any other effects of attacks still happen.) This power can't be used if Mr. Mime is Asleep, Confused, or Paralyzed.
So same scenario: 20 + 10 = 30. Check for R/W, effects, and hit Invisible Wall - prevent the damage.

Flippy attack all Tails? No damage - no rule in the Compendium but is answered in the Ask the Masters forum.

Q7) Yes 0 is a valid base number - otherwise step b) in the "How Do You Figure Out the Damage?" section of the Rules book wouldn't have "b) Figure out damage effects on the Attacking Pok§mon (for example, Darkness Energy effect, or Ralt's Link Blast). Then if the base damage is 0 (or if the attack doesn't do any damage at all), just stlp figuring the damage. Your're done now. Otherwise, keep going."

Q5) & Q6) I would not say that an attack needs the X, +, -, ?, or actual number as there are some attacks, Blaze ex's Volcanic Ash and Murkrow's Feint Attack, that has the Base number written in text. A rule like "Base needs a number, +, -, X, or ?" will only mean exceptions have to be kept track of.
