SwamPhan

Swampert and Donphan never thought they could get along, until now!

Pokemon 18

4 Phanpy
4 Donphan

3 Mudkip
2 Marshtomp
2 Swampert GE
1 Swampert CG

1 Baltoy
1 Claydol

Trainers 26

4 Prof. Oak’s Visit
2 Steven’s Advice
2 Galactic’s Wager
4 Roseanne’s
4 Celio

4 Rare Candy
3 Pokedex
3 Windstorm

Energy 16

4 Multi
6 Fighting
6 Water

This is a conceptual idea for a creative way of Disruption and Damage Spread. Ideally you will get a Phanpy start and attach energy. Hopefully Roseanne’s in hand will get you a Basic (Mudkip) and another energy or go for the Claydol setup. Claydol is an after thought when building this list. It is no where near the main draw, but more of an assistant and allows the usage of Wager at the right time in case you lose. You want to get a Swampert GE setup quickly as this is the Manipulation you will need. Having Donphan with Rapid Spin is the key, so you need two out and going, but they don’t have to be powered up. That’s right, just use Swampert’s power to move the energy from one Donphan to the next whilst powering the bench up for the Cleaner! Also, don't underestimate Donphan's Bash In! 130 if they have a tool is just good times!
Swampert GE gives that 80 damage calculation and a discard form the opponent’s deck. After spreading the 40, getting things to 120 just misses the 130 most S2 pokes have right now. This is where I actually considered going with a 1-1-1 Omastar PK line for Pull Down but Claydol won out.

So there you go, an interesting way to abuse energy, disrupt board control, and spread damage all around!

Have fun and I welcome all suggestions & comments!

I'm not a big Pokedex/Nav fan, but I guess they're alright. I'd suggest a couple Lake Boundary for Magmortar LV X and Blissey. I'd also probably run a few scramble. With only doing 40 a turn, you may get behind on prizes, and you could also move those with Swampert's power. Just a thought.

But Otherwise I really like the idea of the deck.

I like the idea too, it just seems that the actual disruption (other than Rapid Spinning) is kind of lacking. I think that ER2, Cyclone Energy and Pluspower are essential parts of making Donphan tick because it forces more bad decisions.

You might also be able to get away with less energy...getting away with 4 a game is pretty sweet.

Disruption would be nice, but thelist is tight!

Made some changes to it and it works really well!

I'd maybe add 1-1 Palkia X to the mix - drag out anything, they bring out whatever, you move your energies to your new active and attack with it. With Palkia Lv. X it's also possible to get your energies out if you fear KO, or just shuffle your opponent's pokémon back to his deck out of nowhere. I also like the spreading options with Palkia/Marstomp - take anything with retreat cost in front and then hit the bench with 30-10-10-10-10 to bench. It's a bit shame Donphan and Palkia X don't work too well together, although they bring out an interesting situational combo: bring out your opponent's loaded pokémon with Palkia, send it back to bench with Donphan, repeat until you KO that.

That would mean having to go with 3-3 Donphan, but I think it's thick enough.

Palkai would be nice in the mix, but the Bench will start getting crowded real quick if you have too many sitters!

Thanks for the replies!! Keep em coming!

Spam reported, kthnxbai.

Why not use Swampert ex to get a few energy out, and then you can move them using Swampert GE's power?

Since you seem to be hitting a 120 HP plateau 2-4 Strength Charm/Plus Power would seem to get you over the hump.
