Latios GE

(Just getting back to this game after a year or so pause so pardon my faulty logic if present.)
Seems like there could be some kind of a deck with this little fella. He is a basic making him easy to set up and he ohko's gardevoir and with pluspower gallade and gardevoir lv.x.
He is also not twice bad to start with seeing as he can pump himself with his first attack. The question is what to play with him? 1-0-1 (or something along those lines) of Sceptile seems like a nice choice since Latios discards energies. The problem is that you can only get him 2 energies per turn with Sceptile so we would need to find a way to get him that third energy to ohko anything every turn.

Suggestions? Ideas?

4 Energy to attack, discard three.
It's a Basic, but hard to set up and keep going.
Might work with Togekiss.

Well the problem with your sceptile idea is the fact that it's body only works with grass pokemon I think. The problem with the card is there isn't really a lot of energy exel. If it was out in another format then it would be broken. In a deck like LBS you have a lot of energy exel but now there isn't any energy exel that works right now and getting both energy types because holons cast is really bad if you start with it.

Hmm...play only G and L energy...pair it up with a C attacker, maybe Exploud or so...you could then have it as a backup attacker of sorts.

Yeah, you are right about Sceptile.. there goes that deck idea..
Togekiss seems nice though.. Not particularly reliable but at least something to works with. I cant seem to let go of the OHKO everything in the format basic.

Togekiss is pretty reliable.
I get a turn 2 or 3 energy drop just about every game with it in my Ho Oh deck.

Hmm... goldfished a bit on redshark and it seems that I can get T2 fully charged Latios quite often. The problem obviously being recycling used up Togekiss.. I suppose Super Scoop up could work for that?

Right now, Im trying to figure out a finisher for this deck. Since KOing 6 Pokémon with Latios will take 18 Energy, I could really use a back-up plan. Something that would benefit from Togekiss too.. maybe Tangrowth?

my friend plays it in his blazikatty deck with a holons castform

he either stacks castform and 2 fires and night maintenances the castform back or stacks a castform and 3 fires and discards the 3 fires

its a beast which can OHKo most major pokes with a strength charm/ pluspower

Exactly. Its a tried and tested formula, I would stick to this. But remember its 4 energies it needs to attack, not 3, & its not like you'll just be able to just recharge it every turn cos they're gonna get KOd.

I have a deck with him

4 togikiss
4 latios
4 parcheese

works like a charm

the only problem you will find, is getting the nrg back into the deck for more togakiss action

3-4 night mainence is a must

before you even say it, magneton will not work, to many pokemon, slows the deck down. Plus the nrg only go into your hand, not the deck.

you will have to attack with togakiss in this deck sometimes, you just cant sustain latios for 6 prizes.

3-4 PP a must to get that galade kill too

Hmm... Mantine looks really interesting.. although it would take a lot of bench space and since I've been running it with Claydol and the Fishing Engine, arrangments would have to be made..
