Can I discard Scramble energy to use Magmortar Lv.X's attack?

Oh, you mean can you ONLY discard a Scramble?

No, sorry. They issued a correction (errata) for the card:

Quote:

Flame Bluster (Magmortar Lv.X - Mysterious Treasures)
* Magmortar LV.X's "Flame Bluster" attack should say "discard 2 Fire Energy CARDS" rather than just "discard 2 Fire Energy". (Nov 16, 2007 Pokemon Organized Play News)

The other thing that perhaps goes without saying, but I am going to state for the record because many people will be reading this answer - Scramble will only work as a discard for the attack if you are behind on prizes, with no Crystal Beach in play, so Scramble is providing all types of energy.
