Poison Switch
OK this is a deck Ive been wanting to play and test, but wasnt sure on how well it does against the top tier decks. So i made a list and tryna see what changes to make so it will become playable.Ok here is the list:
Pokemon:24 3-2-3- Nidoking SW/Nidoking DF 3-3 Weezing GE 2-2 Claydol GE 3 Pachirsu GE 1 Skarmory Ex Trainers:20 3 Rare Candy 2 Warp Point 1 Moonlight Stadium 1 Lake Boundary 1 Scott 2 Stevens Advice 2 Copycat 3 Celios Network 3 Team Galactic Wager 2 Night Maintenance Energy: 16 3 Scramble 3 Holon WP 7 Psychic 3 Water Stradegy: Nidoking: Lure out for poison Weezing:to add more with the poison Claydol: I mean its claydol Pachi:the starter Skarmory Ex:if they retreat from poison, then they take 3. The deck works on redshark, since setting up a Nidoking is not hard and can get rolling by t3 and can recover easily. So please give ure suggestions and fixes.Thanx |

I playtested this deck ironically almost card 4 card lol! It has some consistency issues as well as low damage output. Awesome disruption though. I did tech a Ray d ex to clean up sniped pokes! The list is good.

This deck gives GG a run for its money. Very good job. For 2 Energy you do 50+10+10*(number of weezing, most likely 2)=80 damage. You also OHKO ralts that you can bring from their bench in case they dont get a good start.
One thing though. I find Skarmory ex unnecessary. If you start with Pachi, you want a bench of 2 Weezing, Claydol, Nidoking and a spot left for back-up Nidoking which leaves no place for Skarmory ex. Furthermore, its Magmortar Snipe bait.

What's the chance of him running into a Magmortar to begin with?
I think having Skarmory EX will add a little toughness in the decision for the opponent to switch. But if the opponent happens to have a Warp Point and Skarmory EX is the only benched Pokemon you've got, your going to be in trouble. |

If skarmory ex is your only benched Pokémon you are in trouble anyway.
And considering Magmortar makes up almost half of the meta, pretty high chances.

i've gotta say considering gg is your best matchup, it's a little inconsistent, i've beat a few diffeent versions of this idea with gg, and not everyone is psychic weak
the claydol pachi build looks like it would be a lot more consistant but my only fix would be max celio's unless you can fit a queen line somehow i would consider giving up on the wp idea and taking the waters out for dre, your opponent will attack with gardy for weakness not gallade, i'm not picking up on any other important effects of attacks you might want to be preventing

Yeah, Todd is right. You can take out those 6 cards. Add in 4 DRE and 2 Unown G. That would be my only suggestion

Tried DRE,dosent help either pokemon and its already low output deck, just let Skarmory ex die and abuse scramble for a few turns with Nidokings second attack.
Holon WP is ok,Unown G I was thinking of trying but I can try both.Magmortar Ive tested against only problem this deck ran into was Lv.X,I mean it burns and will have scramble to do 60+ damage. |

I never found the need to use Nidoking's second attack. Considering the first one does 50 damage (with 2 Weezing) and if they dont retreat they are gonna take 60 more, they will either be KOed by then or another 20 damage will finish them off.

i'll try it on redshark
