Stop the scans!

Ok, does anyone else find the MASSIVE scans on the home page annoying? they're abit spoiler-tastic to the people who want to wait for the sets release/pre-release. If any Pokegym people read this and this thread gets some agreeing replies, can you please stop putting them so obvious, maybe a little pic that you can blow up or something?

i don't want people to stop the scans. it gets me all excited for the nest set, and thinking on what i should play and what is going to be played.

You could just add "/forums" whenever you want to go to Pokegym.net.

Ugh I didn't say stop them all together... just make them a little less obvious. People on here seem to complain alot about pokebeach posting early scans... but at least they're discreet.

Besides DarthPika's flawed logic, you can't get the moderators to do that since there are alot of people that are glad with the scans.

An idea would be that you put the forum in your browsers favorites.

well, I'm willing to listen if it's a problem to a lot of members.
We don't reveal all the cards, just the ones that Pokemon themselves have released.
And this time around, they're releasing them one card at a time, drawing out the excitement.
Better way to do it, in my opinion.

Everyone seems to think I want them gone completly (I suppose my title is abit misleading) but I said, just abit smaller... like a thumbnail you can click. I like to go on the home page to see news, and I like to read a cards text even, but I'm a sucker for pre-releases and seeing the new artwork... I just thought some other people might feel the same... but I guess it's just me, nevermind >_<

My translations were deleted for the cards that are coming and, I'm constantly searching for new scans/images.

i see where your coming from, it would be nice to have to enter the thread to find the scan, making the page smaller, which will please everyone

OK I have to agree with Vile. I love seeing the scans but you should post them as a forum post so that those that don't want to see them don't have to. Most people know to avoid the Beach before a new set if they don't want to see spoilers, but now you are going to force them to avoid the gym also. Please don't stop the scan , I love them, but consider doing it a little less in your face and it will make others happy.

Thinking practically, space could be saved by having just one "revealed MD cards" thread and have two appear side by side. If you check the homepage you'll see what I mean.

I don't ever see the front page unless someone tells me there is something there. I have always directed my page to go to the forums since that is why I am here 99% of the time.

Best thing to do would probably be to just use spoiler tags or something for the images themselves.

I see no problem with scans, I mean we're getting the cards eventually anyways. What's the harm in seeing some of them early?

The content on the Pokegym pertaining to scans are from the official pokemon OP website. Content that is OFFICIALLY released from OP are put into the home page here. It's not like this site is putting up illegal/unofficial scans like some other sites have. Either way, I have no problem with scans.

I always like to know what is coming out, and if I want to see "unofficial" scans, I will also look elsewhere for them. No big deal. The content in the front page is like a mere tv advertisement/commercial. Since I don't like commercials on TV since they are extremely annoying, I do not watch them. So....

If you don't like the content, knowing that before a pre-release such spoilers will be released, then don't look at them, the topics, or the threads! Simple as that! If anything, I wish they put up more scans here for me to see. It's not like seeing 2 scans has ruined your life or anything.... Sheesh!

yes but by making it so that you have to open the tread to see the image, you can please 100% of the people rather than 99%

It's more like for every 10,000 people who want to be spoiled, there's one TO/PTO/Professor who has something to say about it. ;)

You guys should shrink the scans down to thumbnails, then make them hyperlinks to the larger versions. It saves you bandwidth, too. If people have seen them once, they probably won't look again, but with your large versions that are posted, the large version is sent to them each time.
