OREGON Hidden Legends Prerelease: Portland - June 12 & Salem - June 13

HIDDEN LEGENDS Prerelease Tournament Details

2 Days - 2 Tournaments: 2 chances to get new cards!!!


Basic Information - PORTLAND (6/12/04)
Location: Monarch Hotel
2566 S.E. 93rd Avenue, Clackamas, OR
(From I-205 – Take Exit 14 / Clackamas Towne Center)
Date - Saturday, June 12th, 2004
Time - 9:00 AM (registration) 10:00 AM (play begins)
The main tournament will last 5 to 6 hours

Basic Information - SALEM (6/13/04)
Location: Dragons Alley
970 Commercial St SE, Salem, OR
Date - Sunday, June 13th, 2004
Time - 10:00 AM (registration) 11:00 AM (play begins)
The main tournament will last 5 to 6 hours

Tournament Structure
Three Age Divisions - 10 & under / 11 to 14 / 15 & over
Format – Sealed Deck (all cards provided)
Age Modified Swiss (all players play in every round)
Cost - $20

Prizes Prizes Prizes
· All Players get 6 Hidden Legends boosters and an exclusive HL Prerelease Promo card!!!
· The top 8 players in each of the three age divisions (10 & under, 11 to 14, 15 & over) get the following prizes:
1st Place - 1 Sealed Box (36 packs) of Pokémon Hidden Legends Booster Packs
2nd Place - 18 Pokémon Hidden Legends Booster Packs
3rd & 4th Place - 9 Pokémon Booster Packs
5-8th Place - 4 Pokémon Hidden Legends Booster Packs
· All players get to pick from the “Mystery Box”, which contains a random selection of Pokémon Foils, Black Star Promo cards and ???
· Prize Drawings between every round for Promos, Boosters, and other Pokémon items!!!

*NEW* THEME DECK CHALLENGE: If you are just learning to play Pokémon, you might be interested in a new format we are trying at this event. Instead of the main Prerelease tournament, you can participate in a theme deck challenge, which will be a non-sanctioned tournament. You will be given a brand new Hidden Legends theme deck to battle with. Everyone will win either 3 or 4 Hidden Legends boosters. Parents can help their younger children, or children can help their parents learn the game. Learn to play the game, get the new cards and have a lot of FUN in the process. You can’t lose! There is a limit of 24 participants, and priority will be given to beginners.
Entry fee - $20.00

Side Events
GAMEBOY ADVANCE TOURNAMENT: BRING YOUR GAMEBOY ADVANCE!!! Throughout the day, there will be a Gameboy advance tournament going on. The tournament will require you to bring your own GBA and Ruby/Sapphire game. Prizes will be Pokémon TCG booster packs. We will structure this tournament in a way that those people participating in the Gym Challenge can still participate in the GBA tournament. RULES - You are allowed 3 Pokémon of level 50 or lower; No two of the same Pokémon; Groudon, Kyogre, Jirachi, Deoxys and Rayquaza are banned; ALL Shining Pokemon are banned; Entei, Raikou, and Suicune (obtained through Story Mode of Pokemon Colluseum) are also banned; No duplicate held items allowed; Certain powers (Rest, Recover, etc) are not allowed after 8 minutes into the match; "Modified" GBA cartridges are not allowed (i.e. Game Shark).
Entry fee - FREE (Link cables will be provided)

CONSTRUCTED TOURNAMENT – MODIFIED FORMAT: Following the main tournament we will run a Modified format, constructed deck tournament. Players bring their own decks. The format will be EON, only E-cards from the Expedition set forward are legal. Promos released by Nintendo/PUI are also allowed. Hidden Legends cards WILL be legal. We will play 4 or 5 rounds of age modified Swiss, depending on how many people participate. There will be prizes for 1st through 8th place, including a FULL BOX of Hidden Legends boosters for 1st place. We’ll split another box or two between 2nd through 8th places, depending on how many players sign up.
Entry fee - $10.00

That's cool that there will be two prereleases in Oregon. I probably might go to one of them I'm not sure. Hope to see most of my friends there.

I forgot to mention that we ordered about 20 t-shirts with the Hidden Legends logo on them to sell at the prereleases. They arrived yesterday and look VERY good. We only have a few in each size, so get yours early to make sure you get the size you need. They are priced at $20.

Great prerelease! Lotsa fun, as usual. Unfortuneately, due to going to see the rose parade floats, i can't attend the salem one. Hope you get a good turnout there. Wish i could go :/ oh well.
