Fossil during set up

Say I have an Armor Fossil and a Mareep in my hand during the set up.

Can I play BOTH Mareep AND Armor Fossil during the Set up phase?

Or can I only play Mareep because you can only start with Fossils if you don;t have other Basic Pokemon?

You can play either or both during set up.
