Round One Pairings- 12:00pm, no exceptions (show up anyway if you're going to be late, this event is free!)

POP tournament rules apply.
Tournament is swiss (you get to play every round) then single elim (max cut T8).

Nick, make sure Chris CAREFULLY reads this quote from the POP tourney rules.

10. Note Taking
Players are allowed to take notes during a game in respect to actions that have happened during the
game. Notes should be restricted to changes in the game state. Players must be timely with their notetaking
and may not use devices that may send or receive messages as a note-taking device. Notes taken
during a match may not be given to other players during the course of the tournament.
While a match is in progress, the notes taken by a player are considered public information to that
player, his or her opponent, and the tournament staff. As such, the use of codes, ciphers, abbreviations,
or any other method of obscuring the meaning of the information is not permitted. Additionally, notes
taken by a player may not contain misinformation, intended to deceive an opponent or the tournament
staff.

Well, if Laurel doesn't take care of this soon, it's meaningless if its on their site or not! I can't even find it on the regular locator! Somebody affiliated w/ the Rockville event should get this taken care of asap.

-In the Masters, there were 23 players and 6 of them were 4-1 (no one dropped). 4 of those players made it to top cut; two of them did not. Imagine, having to go undefeated to secure a chance at first place. Just goes to show the absurdity of single elimination. Also goes to show that POP's justification for not allowing premiere events to exceed the minimum number of rounds of swiss (Because there may be no undefeated players at the end of the last round) is silly, because tournaments will end up without an undefeated player anyway
-If you really want a player to lose, don't be noisy about it.

I have to say ....

The Washingtons are PLEASANTLY surprised at what a class act operation this was.

David said "you're gonna just LOVE playing in Lusby!" ... he was understating it.

Lusby was DA BOMB!!!

Turnout was HOTTNESS!

Competition was SO SO SO SO SO SO diverse... you just didn't know WHAT you'd be up against and the players were good.

I FINALLY got to see who these Pika Brothers are.
It's funny how half the day was Miles vs. Washingons... LOL

Miles family for being really cool to meet
The Miles' brothers dad for being a cool guy to meet and play against (and a really good sport..)
Garch for beating me 3 times today w/ TogaChomp !
The SoMD crowd for actually standing around and routing for my wickedly stupid deck to win .. ROFL!!

Nintales1234 for doing a great job as head judge..
The judges for shuffling Angelica's deck a lot ! ahahahaaa (thanks for real!)

The SENIORS at the tourney. The kids were GOOD people. The overall atmosphere/environment was so fun and inviting. Angelica came away feeling good!

Masters division... nice turnout and competition level ... that felt like a cities.. way to show up guys.

Thank you to everyone for attending it was an awesome day and great tournament. Diverse was the name of the day. I love to see so many interesting and unique deck ideas. NO STALE FORMAT HERE!!!
