It's been thought of. It can be dealt with.

Countering Mewtwo EX

1. Kadabra(LC) + Focus Band
One hit, Mewtwo EX dead. The Focus Band is there just in case Mewtwo EX attacks first.

2. Scizor(aqua) + 4 Metals
Mewtwo EX deals only 20 damage to it, while Scizor might be doing an average of 70 to it.

3. Darkness Type Pokemons
Most has a resistance to Psychic. Use Pokemon such as Houndoom, Umbreon, TYranitar and other Darkness Pokemons out there.

4. Slaking

I do know of a Pokemon that can weaken Mewtwo ex, though not beat it single-handed. Parasect (Revelation)! Parasect's Power short-circuits Energy Absorption, possibly buying you the time you need to take out Mewtwo ex.

Slaking? Don't think so, Slakoth wouldn't be able to stand. Maybe Vigoroth second turn. Hard to say. Mewtwo ex is a pretty good strategy.

Yes, it is. In Unlimited, it gets a fair amount of competition with all the Psy-Resistant Pokemon (Sneasel, anyone?), but the smaller pool of Psychic Resistance in Modified lets this psycat run free.

"Strategy" meaning "attach energy, Oak, get two energy back, start swinging for 60".

Mewtwo EX is a beatstick. Nothing more. It's a big Pokémon that hits things. Hard. And repeatedly.

The problem here is that Mewtwo ex itself is highly splashable, and the strategies that work best against it are not. Funny, reminds me of Sneasel...

I'd suggest TR's Meowth, though it's too suicidal to use. Though locking it in place and poisoning it can do wonders for winning the game. Also if there was a monster that could attack with paralysis, that would be a pain for almost anyone.
