meh. i got bored of the first animal crossing for the 'cube and i don't think this will change my mind.
It became very repetitive having to talk to people, deliver a letter, dig stuff up, and go to sleep.

This my be for the more patient type, and i am not patient.

Got the game yesterday and got to play it today.

It's mostly like the old games, but there are a few improvements that are kind of cool.

The museum is better designed, and seems to have more space for (speculating) more fish, bugs, paintings, etc. You can quickly switch between your tools by using the d-pad, which saves so much time. All 4 player houses are not just next to each other. They are spread about throughout the map. You get to pick which house you want when you arrive and aren't just stuffed into the first house.

The City is alright, but not much more than just a few key characters put inside of a building. I did find a guy giving out gifts today in the city and got a cool bubble-blower, so I am running around blowing bubbles right now. They had a pinwheel, a bunny balloon, and a regular balloon too. Clares Care or whatever the cow girl's shop has some interesting clothing items but they are really expensive, and has a special furniture set that costs over 1 million bells to get. There is a kid that can shoe shine your shows and can make them match a color or something else. For some reason, my shoes match my hat now. I haven't tried out the hair lady yet. The auction is useless if you don't plan on having a lot of friends come to your town and bid on your stuff.

All and all, I am pleased with the game, but I can understand completely if someone didn't buy it because it was 99% just like the older games. Actually, it's more like Wild World than the original game, which is a big bummer. I don't think there are NES games, nor some of cool things like Message Board hide'n'seek, that were around in the original game. I believe they have added more holidays, though.

fruit is actually really easy to get if you dont have wi-fi
just send a letter to one of your neaighbors saying "this is a fruit gift" with one of your native fruit attached
you should get a non native fruit lol
