East Coast Stadium Challenge Update! UPDATED WITH FINAL RESULTS AND SENSEI`S PICS!

Yes, you may wonder how I can be updating both events at once. I leave you to figure that out on your own, but here's the basics.

Total attendance: 132
15+: 65
11-14: 46
10 & U: 21

I know that all of the divisions are either finished, or in thier respective single elimination rounds, beyond that, I don't know too much. I was informed that of the top 8 for 10 & Under, 4 players already had travel and invites, so there were a lot of pass downs there.

Prof. Dav

p.s. East was the Beast with the coveted Title of Largest Stadium Challenge in the US! :)

It was a shifty deck supported by 'catty and furrett. A very tight deck. I played him in the 3rd or 4th rd. He went unbeaten btw. WTG Eric!! 10 - division won by my son's newest friend, Kevin Ramsey (also unbeaten). His deck was a water based deck he built all bt himself. A super job Kevin!!! I didnt watch much of the 11-14 group and they were the last to finish. The finals were hard fought. I forget the winner's name, but great job to all the finalists.

Yoshi I appluad your effort but you gotta figure out a better way than PIRN. Also I heard very little of results comming from it. Most of us dont care how everyone liked the event. Half the time the mics didnt even work. More updates and less music. The Pokemon stuff made most of us crazy.

I'm sorry you felt that way. Yes, there were technical problems which I will work on resolving. As for the rest of it, that's the basic nature of the station. I know can't please everyone.

By the way, don't forget there is a rebroadcast tomorrow at 9:30 AM EDT.

Sensei..how many Blaze decks were in the 15+?? In the 6 rds I played, didn't see a single one. Don't know if I saw any nearby either. Saw more more GEX, Meta's and Gorbyss than anything else.

Keith
PS Sensei...I was gonna guess about 10 % Blaze in 15+, you say 5/64 ( 8 %). DING DONG the wicked BAR is dead!

Heh, it is FAR from dead. BAR(yes, as ampharos is obsolete now, people need to stop calling all blaz decks "BAR"). Anywho, I was amazingly the only person in the t16(15+) using blaziken :-\ Oh well, the day when blaz was rogue :-p

PS:
Mike, thanks for another world class tournament

Plaid got the invite, YoungJohn got the invite, David got the TRIP. OMG FIRST W/ CROBYSS?!?

Yay! I got the entire Anderson family to SIGN MY WOOPER CARD! But I didn't win anything at the raffle/door prize things. =(

Oh well. It was an awesome tournament. Great job Sensei! Great job to the judges too, I didn't see a single bit of cheating (although I saw a lot of accusations, none were brought up to a judge, however). Great event, Sensei!

TruGamer! You should have been in! 17th with the same tiebreak as the 16th guy?!? That sucks.

KEEP PLAYING TRUEGAMER!

Just to let you guys know, the rebroadcast is now playing on PIRN. I may broadcast it again next saturday.

Ug, man, the audio is really distorted. I'll have to work on that for next time.

Well, I figured out the problem with the mic levels. Turns out the voiceover control works by directly affecting the mic input levels (rather than just mixing).

We had a computer problem in the first round when 2 pairs of players got themselves mixed up and played the wrong opponents. The program did not want to allow for them to be repaired (which should have been easy since it was the first round) but sensei figured out how to work around it.
Great work sensei!

The event ran great and most of the kudos for that fix goes to Randy Curry(Hagrid23). Good job.

When I get more time, I`ll post all the results and reports.
