Anti-Dusknoir Techs
I was looking for cards that could be teched in as one-ofs, since Pokemon doesn't allow for Sideboards.
I thought I could use mismagius for it's crash chant, but that, correct me if I'm mistaken, doesn't hit stadiums. So... 1) Play another stadium. 2) Solrock (GE). What else? |

Unown G and a couple Stadiums that benefit your deck.

Yeah, also Weavile and lake boundary would work.

What stellar stadiums exist in this format?
I run an all-dark deck, so I'm guessing this means I chip in a single moonlight stadium, although that'd benefit the Dusknoir player more than myself, as most of my retreat costs are 1 or 0. Also, does Unown G shelter a single pokemon from the placing counters, or does it some way stifle the creation of a Lv. X stadium? |

just becasue ur name and u liek machamp whatever, dosent mean its gonna win like every single city. =.=
i mean it'll win quite a few but how would you know what everyone is playing around the nation? dusknoir does not suck, it has pros and cons like every other single pokemon.

But if you have Weakness (not x2) to a type just as popular, if not more so, than Dusknoir in your area (say, Machamp), you might want to just use Moonlight, or just not lay down Lake Boundary vs. Champ. Another pro of playing Moonlight is that it helps vs. Gengar, another very hyped deck. Unown G protects any Pokemon you like from Damage Counter, which helps ALOT with Dusknoir's Damage Even AND Dusknoir Lv.X (though not so much Noir Lv.X). Also it protects vs. Bronzong, if they play it.

Honestly, I feel Dusknoir/Gengar, is the strongest city championships contender. It's spreading potential is stellar and Shadow Command and Dark Palm combined with Dusknoir Lv. X's power make for extremely versatile and annoying pokemon.
It also has the power of abusing Gengar's attacks and power which are both very powerful. Anyway, every deck with powers should play at least 2 Unown G and 1-2 Counter Stadiums. That's really the best you can do against such decks.

Chatot discards stadiums doing 20 for 2 energy.

My main line is Honchkrow, which has electric weakness.
My only fighting weakness is my single darkrai copies. I'll look for some lake boundaries, then, as I've yet to see an insanely solid electric contender that I can't beat with overpowering CA. Lunatone does the same, for one energy. :) |

Is that an active Chatot? I don't see which attack removes statiums.
Palkia's Spacial Rend attack (DP & GE) lets you discard the active stadium, and also search your deck for a stadium. That will help with the current round, and will let you get setup to counter the next turn. Downside is you need 1 water energy. |

honestly I would just play 2 Warp Point and 2 Unknown G.
If you try too hard to counter Dusknoir which isn't unbeatable, you're going to be completely blindsighted by all the other amazing decks out there which'll make those techs pointless. Instead of filling your deck with dozens of things to work against Dusknoir, add in things that'll make your deck more consistant and faster than Dusknoir. I play 2 Warp 2 G and 1 Sabeleye. None of them are useful ONLY for Dusknoir which is the good thing about them. Sabeleye is pretty amazing in any situation and Warp and G are pretty much staples for this season anyways. Alongside 1-2 counter stadiums like a Dawn in Kingdra or whatnot you should be set. Now, if Dusky is like EVERYWHERE, by all means play 4 Sabeleye. lawl.

electivire X seems to save the day for me often against the dusknoir stadium, but he's hardly an often-played card. Teched correctly though in a raichu or magnezone deck, must dusknoir decks have a lot of trouble.
