3rd place CC-report from Oslo, Norway

The night before the tournament I had thrown together a Dusknoir/Bronzong-deck just out of my mind. I had no time to test it before I went to bed, but I felt pretty comfortable that it should be be alright.

Here's my list, btw:

3 Duskull (1 Shiny/1 SF/1 SW) (I borrowed both the SW and the shiny, 'cause my little brother used all our SW ones)
2 Duclops (1 of each SF)
3 Dusknoir (2 SF holo and 1 SF #17) (no DP because everyone would think I use it anyway)
1 Dusknoir Lv. X

2 Bronzor SF
2 Bronzong MD

2 Baltoy GE
2 Claydol GE

4 Sableye SF

3 Unown G
=24

3 Rare Candy
4 Bebe's Search
3 Roseanne's Research
1 Luxury Ball
4 PokéDrawer +
2 Warp Point
2 Night Maintenance
2 Moonlight Stadium
1 Team Galactic's Wager (for t1 with Sableye which I never used :p)
=22

4 Call Energy
4 Special Darkness energy (for Sableye)
6 Psychic energy
=14

So, to the day of the tourney.
We should register for the tournament at 10 a.m, so my friends Oscar and Jon Oscar, my brother Syver and I took the 8.44 train to Oslo (only one train a hour at Sundays ). We waited at the location for like 45 minutes - 1 hour or something, and I playtested once against Jon Oscar before the tourney began.
(I play in senior)

Round 1 vs. Mindaugas V. or something w. Abomasnow/Bronzong
I had never met this kid before, so I was pretty surprised when I saw that he used Obama.

Game 1
I started with Sableye, but he started with a 60 HP Snover. He got setup a bit fater than me, but it soon became clear that he had no idea how to play his deck. Once he had gotten 3 energy at his Obama he started hitting me for 60 instead of continuing spreading. My Dusknoir said thank you very much, and I knocked him with 100 damage next turn. He couldn't really make a comeback after that, and I plowed through his Pokémon.
(1-0)

Game 2
Pretty much the same as game 1, except that I got an even better start.
(2-0)
1-0

Round 2 vs. Cato S. w. Tyranitar
Oh man. I had completely forgotten to had Azelf Lv. X for this matchup, so I was pretty nervous.

Game 1
He got an awfully good setup, while mine was mediocre. The game became pretty tight, but I couldn't really stand up against his swarming dinosaurs.
(0-1)

Game 2
When we started this game, there was only about 8-9 minutes left. To have a chance to win this match I would have draw 4 prizes before time was called (to have the second game count the player who had lost the former game would have draw 4 prizes before time), so I played really fast. I got a really good setup, and managed to beat him down in only 5 minutes.
(1-1)

Game 3
Time was called a minute after we started, so the first prize would win. I don't remember exactly how, but I managed to get it.
(2-1)
2-0

Lunch break, so I went down to Narvesen (a cookie to the American who knows what that is :p) and bought a hot dog.

Round 3 vs. Anna R. w. Mirror
This girl had traveled all the way from Sweden to compete in this tourney, and that's pretty cool. I have even met her once before, at Oslo Regionals last season. I lost that game, so I wanted revenge. :p

Game 1
I do not remember much of this game at all, but I remember that she won 0-1 in prizes.
(0-1)

Game 2
I t1 Sableye'd her.
(1-1)

Game 3
I do not remember much of this game either, other than that time was called at my turn while I were ahead in prizes.
(2-1)
3-0! Now I really started to get expectations.

Round 4 vs. Christian R. H. a.k.a Hauken (the Hawk) w. Machamp
I was so happy when I saw that I should meet him, because Machamp is nearly autowin for me.

Game 1
I won, don't remember how.
(1-0)

Game 2
See over.
(2-0)
4-0

Round 5 vs. David H. J. w. Gliscor/Tech (including Weawile )

Both of us were 4-0, so we were both in top 4 even before the match.

Game 1
It is a very tight game, and it eventually comes down to 1-2 in prizes. I am very careful not to do a misplay, but when both David and I understand that as long as I do not do anything stupid, I will win, he scoops.
(1-0)

Game 2
There are less than 10 minutes left, and David plays really fast to get 4 prizes before time. He nearly makes it, but time is called at my turn when he was ahead 3-6 in prizes. Really good game.
(2-0)
5-0! Undefeated in swiss! I have only done that once before, and then it was only 4 swiss rounds.

Top 4 is:

1. Me -Dusknoir/Bronzong
2. Hammas - IDK
3. David - Gliscor
4. Huy - Tyranitar

Oh, what a lucky guy I am. 5-0 in swiss, and then I'm going to face Tyranitar in top 4.

Top 4 vs. Huy D. w. Tyranitar

Game 1
He gets an early control over the game thanks to my weakness, and when I realise that there's no chance of a comeback, I scoop.
(0-1)

Game 2
I t1 Sableye his Larvitar.
(1-1)

Game 3
He easily beats me down, and even though I play a really good game, I lose horribly.
(1-2)

Oh well, I got an third place. That's better than any other of my CCs this year, so I'm happy. I pulled a Machamp Lv. X and 2 PokéDrawers in my four boosters as well, so I can't say that there's any reason to be disapointed.
