Torterra and Torterra PT
With the introduction of Shaymin Lv x Land forme, it gives Torterra the ability to tank.
My question is, which Torterra will see the most play out of all of them? The D/p one is meh The Stormfront one is good with Sunshine song, and will help vs Tyranitar The Majestic Dawn one is alright at best. Now the PT one seems the best what would you think would be the best to run in a sceptile/torterra/shaymin land x deck? |

4 pokeblowers.... dialga G LV.X shuts the deck down, so you want to make sure you can bring it up and kill it fast. i would go with these lines:
4-2 grotle 2 torterra PT 1 torterra MD 1 torterra LV.X 2-1-2 sceptile 2-2 shaymin land from 2-2 claydo energy: 4 call 10 grass i would also run a couple of LV.X max |

For tanking, I would say DP since it's the only one that can heal itself, although the attack is way too expensive without Sceptile. That being said, if you want Torterra to tank, the Lv.X is a must if Fire isn't too popular in your area. With Shaymin Lv.X, it's HP reaches 200. With an Unown E equipped, it can survive an unboosted 1 Supreme Blast from Mesprit Lv. X.
Instead, though, I would use some DP and SF Torterra (healing and speed, respectively), Torterra Lv.X, Shaymin Lv.X, Sunflora, and Leftovers to use Vigorous Dash quickly and continuously while receiving only 10 damage with each use. I think this would make for a great, sturdy deck. Many of the popular decks that taking over today's metagame can knock out anything in two hits, but since a normal Torterra with Shaymin Lv.X has a nice 180 HP, it would take something like Scizor or Kingdra 3 unboosted hits to knock it out, during which time, you can have another Torterra fully set up and charged. Nice. |

Torterra for use. Well, hard to say, you have 4 choices now, so it all depends, personally, i would go for
1 Torterra PT (After all, it has a nice tanking ability, at the cost of energy, you either need Sceppy or LOTS of energy drops to make him good, and Noir DP and Dialga G Lv.X will shatter this combo) 1 Torterra MD (Don't pass up the opportunity for a quick T2 60, even if you do 10 to all your bench, not only that, Frenzy Plant comes in handy numerous times cause if the Terra PT combo doesn't work, you max out at 100) 1 Torterra SF (Really guys, DP? come on. Anyway, this torterra is good because you drop it to get quick evos going, for sceppy, more Torterra's, etc. Remember, you can evo and then Sunshine Song, to get a quick Sceptile if one is KOed or Dark Palmed) That would be ideal for the torterra set up, the rest is for you to decide |

The Platinum Torterra is the best by a landslide, even if it can't do a turn 2 60 (without Sceptile, anyway). Unlimited damage potential, no attack drawbacks like the MD, 80 and auto-sleep... again, the best Torterra of the bunch by far.
Also, to deal with Dialga G lv. X, just wait until you get behind in prizes and use Forest Murmurs to bring it up and 2HKO it with a manually charged Torterra (the PT one only needs 1 energy more on it than it would've with Wild Growth to do this). If they Warp or retreat, just use Forest Murmurs again and nail it, giving you back Wild Growth for at least a turn (they might Night Maintenance it back, or Time Space it out, although if you were behind by more than 1 prize, you could just do the same thing again if they tried to get it into play again). |

I'm agreeing with 2 PT and 1 MD/SF probably being the pick, unless Dialga G Lv X hype proves true; if everyone starts using it (thus shutting off Sceptile), then I'd probably revert back to good old 2 MD and then 1 PT/SF.
