Regigigas Event in the US - March 8th-21st!

Regigigas Event Poster

With the Shaymin event just recently announced, we now have news of a Regigigas Event March 8th Through March 21st at Toys'R'Us

Here are the Specs on this Regigigas:

Ball: Cherish Ball
Level: 100!
Held Item: Custap Berry (New Berry! 1st Release)
Moves: Iron Head, Rock Slide, Icy Wind, Crush Grip

In addition to the fact that this pokemon is Level 100, it will also unlock an event in Pokemon Platinum so that you can catch Regirock, Registeel, and Regice in Pokemon Platinum!

This is breaking news on this front, and you got it here on Pokegym First!

Toys'R'Us. exactly 1 month after the start of Shaymin.

That's Awesome that they are giving out Regigigas a Month later. But it's lame on the Dates they chose. It will take place before Platinum is released. Did they do that on Purpose?

Yes i would guess so, seeing how the image says "Pokemon Platinum Preview".

So that everyone can get them in their games for the Dex and then trade them to unlock the special events?

That would be my guess. Also, to convince the players that had not decided to get Platinum, just to push them over the fence to get it as well to get the 'special' Pokemon.

Not a big issue mind you, just interesting that the last day you get the Regi is the day before Platinum is released. Atleast we have 2 weeks to attend the Event.

Great marketing strategy, imo!! This builds hype for Platinum, and the bonus of unlocking the regi's will really help to sell the game to those "been there, done that" diamond/pearl players. Plus, a new berry to play Johnny Appleseed with??

That's the same issue i have. But even if it was at Gamestop, ares doesn't do the Event anyway. Was told they don't have a Rep, and the device they use is broken.

I can take your cart(s) to the event for you. I've done it many times for Pokemonmike. He can vouch for me, that i'd never rip ya off and take your game.

Not sure if I want to do that. I'm just looking for maybe a clone of the both of them or cam you do it because of that pokeball they are in. I won't be around for thee release of them so I won't be able to send it.

i thank for the resion of that is that regigigas appeared in the new pokemon movie and shaymin as well

Well basically you could just send it prior to the release, and then i take it there and do the Downloadfor you. The other way is that i could restart while i'm at the Event, and get another copy of each. As for the ball, they are in Cherish balls. You can trade them in Cherish balls, the blocker is if they have a Classic Ribbon attached.

This is great , pokemon is sorta doing the things japan does.
Good move PUSA :D.
Also I just found my diamond version so now I can get two Gigas.
Also once you get the 3 regi's you can go to the temple and get that Gigas as well.
That's like 2-3 Gigas for me.
Quick question , can the JPN movie Gigas activate the regi events in the english copy?
Well I better wait and see I guess.
