Speed Gengar
Pokemon - 21
1 azelf 2 unknown g 4 gengar 2 haunter 4 gastly 3 uxie 1 uxie lv. X 1 baltoy 1 claydol 1 dialga g 1 diaga g lv. X Trainers - 25 1 lux. ball 4 rare candies 4 handsomes investigation 3 warp points 2 night maitenance 4 roessanes research 4 bebes search 3 miasma valley Energy - 14 10 psychic energy 4 call energy strategy- get out gengar as fast as possible, which shouldnt be hard with the uxies and the four gastlys you have. once your genger is on the field, hit your opponents active pokemon or bench depending on the amount of cards in his/her hand. if they are running claydol, snipe them first, trust me. after getting rid of claydols or any other techs that can be qickly knocked out by shadow room, you should already have another gengar on your bench waiting to be brought out to take the place of your first one. never rely on fainting spell. always expect a tails, so your never caught without a next move. use claydol as it was meant to be used for, and use dialgs g to save yourself from ampharos. you should be safe from most strategies now Last edited by donrockinpokemon; 02/08/2009 at 04:58 PM. |

Your list is 3 cards short.
Looker's Investigation is amazing in Gengar. It lets you scope out your opponent's hand so that you know whether or not a Poltergeist would be effective. Also, where are your Claydol and Uxie? Both are needed here. My fixes, taking into account your 3 missing slots: - 3 POV - 2 Cynthia's - 4 Pokedrawer - 3 Psychic energy - 1 Miasma Valley + 1 Baltoy + 1 Claydol + 3 Uxie + 1 Uxie lv. X + 4 Handsome's Investigation + 4 Call energy + 1 Dialga G + 1 Dialga G lv. X Dialga G lv. X will save you from Ampharos, which otherwise would wreck you by shutting off Feinting Spell, and it will also improve your match-ups versus a ton of Grass decks (Torterra, Scizor, Tangrowth, etc.) as well as even things out a bit versus Tyranitar. |
