Power Spray on Turn 1?

Let's say I start with 3 G pokemon on my bench and a Power Spray in my hand, but I lose the coin toss and my opponent goes first. They drop an Uxie on their bench and try to use Uxie's set up power.

My question: can I play Power Spray even though no trainers are allowed to be played on the first turn of the game?

Yes you can. The correct way to say it is that the player that goes first cannot use Trainers et al, not that "they are not allowed to be played". Not the same thing.
